Our concierge at our hotel suggested we eat here and promptly booked us a table. What we did not know was that he had told them it was our anniversary and they put us on a wonderful table, bought out 2 glasses of champagne from...More

Lovely spot, overlooking the harbour. We had a fish and chips, superb haddock and lovely homemade tartar sauce. I had the lobster, which was expensive, GBP28, and was overcooked and quite tough. Still tasted good, but disappointing.

The outside of the building does it no justice - the interior decor, menu and quality of food and service are very nice and I would recommend this restaurant for lunch.

Mains were nice enough but prefer Ashvale as you get more chips and sides FREE OF CHARGE. The staff weren't overly friendly. A smile goes a long way but there were NO smiles from any of the staff. Quite disappointed after the great reviews:(

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon for takeaway and was so impressed I went back to seek out the proprietors to commend them. I don’t believe we have ever had better Fish and Chips. We live 500 miles away (unfortunately) but will definitely return. H.

We were given a nice seat by the window, but unfortunately it was a very wet day. The calamari starter was stunning, not like the usual sliced rings that is served up in most restaurants. We followed with the reason we visited, good old fashioned...More
