After Joining the Slow Food revolution, its restaurant & lounge now features a menu rich in local ingredients, exploring a Fusion Kitchen from different Asian cuisines, from Indonesia to India, and also some Western Influences. When the sun hits the horizon it evolves into a bustling scene with delicious curries & wine, craft beers and more unique sharing dishes. From sunrise to sunset, you can practice yoga surrounded by nature, follow cooking classes and appreciate the rich organic items of the vegetable garden. Second experience, after the positive and distant one of over ten years ago....Unchanged interior, and the same splendid view. Ordered a tandoori chicken, good result, shame only for the lack of meat, except wings and smaller bony parts. The fried purple potatoes are good and plentiful, and the goat curry is decent. The naan, with olives and cheese, is always good, and the fried chicken is good. Medium/high prices: with a 500 ml bottle of water and two lime juices, total cost of almost €40, not a small thing for Lombok, especially when compared to an excellent panoramic venue not far away. Disappointing staff: much colder and more detached than all the numerous restaurants we tried. If it weren't for the facial features, one would think that the various waiters were not Indonesian. Maybe because "by now" the restaurant's fame is so consolidated that perhaps the enthusiasm and grace of the beginning has been lost. Some valid products are on sale, such as the tasty peanut butter, at around €3 for 200 grams. On a scale of one to ten the correct rating would be a seven, thanks also to the location and the view.

Absolutely stunning view of the mountains and the beach/ocean. Great spot for sundowners or for dinner. Highly recommend the fresh banana chips, goat curry and the palak paneer. The Indian food is not greasy and is fresh and tasty. They have a great selection of healthy/vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu.

To start with: the place is amazing, it has stunning view down to the Beach, and the pickup and dropoff service is really nice. That's for the good part of the evening.
But then about the food and drinks: it was the worst experience we had in Indonesia by far - sorry to say that. We have travelled India some times and know Indian food pretty well, but what Ashtari is serving has nothing to do with that. And even worse: it just tasted really bad, not even somewhat Indian, but really bad. We had the Masala Dosa, which had an uneatable dosa (not even sure what this was) with some ok Masala Potato inside. The butter chicken was way overspiced and had a very odd taste. Naan was ok. The juice (we had Papaya) initially was almost complete water, after complaint it was somewhat fruity, but still no joy compared to all the juices we had in other restaurants. And all that to top class prices - sorry that was just disappointing. Maybe other food is good here, but don't go here if you like Indian food.

My friend and I decided to treat ourselves on our holiday to Kuta and visit this establishment as it was highly recommended to us
However we were very disappointed. The service wasn’t necessarily good and the food was bland and tasteless (which was upsetting considering the price)
I do have to note, The vibe here is good and the space is decorated beautifully. Overall the food wasn’t very good and I wouldn’t recommend eating here at all.

Wonderful scenery with comfortable facility. The food is well served and bring satisfactory to spend time with friends in weekend. The stafs were so helpful and make us feel comfortable having a great time there. The cleanliness is so well handled and the palce itself is so eye-catching. Can't wait to visit there again soon

Plenty of parking and walking into the establishment was very nice. Everything was clean and staff polite and helpful.
The view is what this place is all about. Very impressive. There was a slight breeze that we experienced and that also was very relaxing.
To the food, this is where disappointment came.
I had a chicken dish with mushroom sauce and that was nice. My friend had a Hawaiian pizza. I felt embarrassed to have come all this way to be given this. I had to look twice to see what it was supposed to be. Not only did it look watered down, the taste was just as bad.
So I loved the view and ambience.
The food is not what you would go there for.

Thank you for the review, glad that you enjoyed our place and view, but we are afraid that the complaint about our food is not valid, we checked our floor team and billing system. No one ordered chicken breast and Hawaiian pizza recently. If there is something wrong, our floor manager is always available to handle complaints and serve new dishes in exchange for our mistake, but there has been no recent complaint. So it will be nice if you could let us know your visit date, and we will do cross-check again. If you are still around, we invite you to come to Ashtari and we are happy to treat you as an apology.

I frequently visit this restaurant. They have Indonesia, western and Italian food. They have some beers as well. This is a good place to take lunch, enjoy the view and talking with friends. The atmosphere here really make is feel comfort.

This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant aesthetically and the view amazing, however the food was only average. The curry dishes were so so and Nan was not really Nan. Staff were lovely though

The restaurant arranged to pick us up from Kuta for lunch. The Mahi-Mahi was the best I have had - cooked perfectly! We enjoyed the mocktails and the gelato. The view overlooking Kuta is beautiful. The service was attentive.
