The owner or who I think she pretended to be (lady with gray hair) extremely rude since the beginning, we were 8 people and she couldn’t handle the pressure and yelled at us that 20% will be add to our bill for being a large...group, which we totally agreed and knew already. She even couldn’t handle the pressure than she sent over another server who thank God was super nice and helped us to forget the awful welcoming from the lady with gray hair who at the end was right next to our server in the cashier machine to make sure she charged us the 20%. Food took more than 45 minutes to be served. Not only been rude, she send me a reply saying we were abusive and didn’t know how to treat people when she was the one being all that.More
This cafe has been around for many a year. The service is good and the food is excellent. It doesn't matter what you order it is fresh and delicious. We keep coming back just like the other people whom we recognize during each visit.
This diner used to be a favorite regular breakfast/brunch stop for my wife and I. However in the past 6 months the quality of service as taken a dive off a cliff. The food is till great but the staff is rude and short -...making you feel like you’re inconveniencing them. Not sure what happened but seems stressed like hate their job and don’t want to be there. It’s really changed the atmosphere and diner experience.More
Very good little roadside diner with excellent service and greet food. Kim was a wonderful server. Lots of breakfast options with good size portions.
Generous breakfasts available from a HUGE menu. The highlight for most is their “smashbrowns”: deliciously smashed potato hashbrowns.
Excellent breakfast. fun atmosphere with three couples. We all chose different plates everyone was very satisfied! The portions are huge and the food is very tasty.
Great food, sweet nostalgia, fun ambiance. We are coming back for pie! Try e tables were vintage and the staff so friendly.
We were in Langley and looking for an old-fashioned diner to have a good burger and fries - came across Hilltop and was so happy we did! Amazing cheeseburger deluxe with a generous serving of fries. Their homemade hot sauce is very tasty. Friendly staff...and loved the diner atmosphere. Went as a family and found something for everyone. Definitely a gem in the Lower Mainland. We will be back to try their famous pies! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!More
After few hours cycling in Langley , come upon this little diner on Fraser Hwy in industrial area , one of the local told me I should try their homecooked meal , so I dropped in for breakfast , decor is 60's diner style ,...seat very limited , but clean , they just open half ago , only few local , menu not spectacular , just good old fashion homecooked food , my Hilltop Special surprised very hot not greasy at all , the hash brown you can taste 100% homecooked , French Toast is one of their signature dishes , I am not a sweet tooth guy , it is all day breakfast , but after 11am, they do not serve French Toast , because they all so busy with the worker in the area for lunch , coffee is so fresh and hot , staff very friendly and helpful ,,they make sure I have enough hot coffee , most inexpensive and convenient place to grad a bite and use the BATHROOM ! every one have their own taste , I truly find this place very good and friendly ,, I also bough a fresh baked Blueberry Pie for my uncle . If I am in the area next time , for sure I am going to try their signature Everest Bunger ! they open 9am to 2pm in Weekday , 8.30am to 2.30pm weekend . happy and too full !More
Went because we heard the pies were great and burgers were very good. Showed up at 11 am. All the berry pies were sold out. We got a couple burgers. They were good. Fries were excellent. We got chocolate eclair pie. It was excellent
Hilltop has its "old faithfuls" that think its the bees knees. It isn't. There are lots of home cooking restaurants that have better service and better prices. We were long time patrons at one time. The new owner is a doll, however, some of the...old staff needs to be let go. Plus, portion size has decreased as well as quality. How unfortunate. I am 60 and remember going to this place as a child for pie. Get with the program Hilltop. You are not infallible and many, very well established restaurants are going under due to lack of quality. Step it up.More
Well below expectations.. Don't know how this place could have gotten such rave reviews ob "You Gotta Eat Here" My wife ordered Poutine and she would have gotten more cheese curds at McDonalds. Expected regular cur fries, but got shoe string. But the fries were...excellent. I ordered the Hot Turkey Sandwich. It was only passable. They skimped on the gravy. Very small portion of turkey. Mixture of white and dark meat.More
One of the best places to have an awesome, wholesome breakfast with family Sometimes wait is very long as first come first serve, no reservation. But if you go early, no wait Menu is varied Portions great. Service prompt and attentive. Kids welcome Price in...good rangeMore
First timers, was great to see the decor from back in our time 1960's! Friendly service and tasty bacon & eggs with cup of coffee! Memorable brunch, just before COVID-19 lock down!
We’re so glad you got to make it in before all the craziness! We hope to see you again as soon as we can open back up. Thank you so much for the wonderful review. -Andrea Zaiser, Owner
