As a ‘walk in’ we didn’t expect a table let alone a fantastic meal that was above all expectations! We had a cheerful welcome from a young lady that made us feel wanted and was shown to our table. The pub was packed but the...food was sheer excellence. Lasagne and breaded bubble and squeak were ordered and were hot, tasty and plentiful.More

We visited the pub after booking a few days ahead for a meal. Once seated we gave our order for food, and waited.......and waited. After an hour and a quarter we still had no starters, but had been told that the kitchen were struggling to...get our order out. Hard to believe when one of the plates was just olives and bread!! A large party had come in and were given preference over all other customers it seems, being served both starters and mains before us. We voted with our feet, and left. Bookings should not be taken when clearly the pub is not staffed to cope with the number of tables it has. One barman and two waitresses on a Saturday night clearly could not cope. Spoilt our night, very disappointed.More

The Hewas is a quaint little village Inn....We were Greeted by a member of staff. Who was very polite & courteous. Shown to our table very quickly. Gave us a menu. Asked what drinks we would like....Left us to check was on the was in...the menu. Which has a very good selection of food... Came back with our drinks. Told us about the specials board....we made our selection....I choice the Pan Fried Sea Bass with Seasonal vegetables...My partner choose the Hunters Chicken. Both were very good size portions. Good value.... A well stocked bar. With some local brewed Ales... If you are in the area i highly recomend you visit it yourself.... 😊More

We visited on a Tuesday lunchtime, it was quiet but the welcome was very friendly. Quick service, reasonably priced food, well cooked and tasty. The portions were a good size and we were all stuffed after.

We had a lovely meal here in August. We booked the table in advance before our trip. The food was absolutely delicious and everything that we saw being brought out from the kitchen looked fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful and we found the...atmosphere to be relaxed and welcoming. Would highly recommend.More

We struggled to find somewhere to eat as we left it so late after going to the Eden project but the Hewas inn fitted us in brilliantly. This is a lovely local pub that does home cooked food. The service, food and general ambience was...fantastic and we def hope to visit again before we leave. Highly recommend this great pubMore
