We had an unforgettable meal at Osteria Volpaia back in October and have talked about it many times since then. It was recommended by our host at La Locanda for our first meal in Tuscany and we could not have been happier. Each dish was well thought out, the staff was attentive and paid particular attention to my dietary restrictions... More

Volpaia is really a magical setting and a lovely spot for a meal. We enjoyed a lovely meal on the outdoor terrace matched with some of the vineyards delicious wines. On the whole the creative food was delicious although there were a few courses which were slightly disappointing (given the price paid) - on the whole though a very enjoyable... More

Hiding away in a tiny village is this restaurant serving exciting twists on the region's specialties. The service is a bit more formal than one might expect (or want) but the food is excellent.

The chef and his team have really put together a fabulous menu of unique renditions of classic Italian dishes. The restaurant is very much a dining experience of the 'gastronomique' type so expect some really interesting dishes prepared in non-traditional ways. We actually went back several times to sample different items on the menu.

We had lunch at the Osteria and it was the best meal of our trip! The food was unique and refined, the prices was reasonable and the service, thanks to Ricardo, was outstanding. And take the time to tour this beautiful little village still unspoiled from tourists. All and all a perfect day.

This restaurant is a must visit if you're within a 30-40min radius. We went to volpaia as we had heard about the winery which was established in 1172 and is very well renowned. After tasting the wines and vin santo, we asked for a recommendation and were told to try this restaurant (right next door. There are three restaurants right... More

A lovely atmosphere in a small Tuscan hill town. The chef and sous chef are remarkably creative with their elegant touches on classic Tuscan fare, including small surprises between courses. And then there is the lovely hostess Alice (pronounced Ah-LEE-cheh) whose good humor and nearly flawless English made our evening simply perfect. Excellent wine list and great value with appetizers... More

Just has dinner with my wife at Hosteria Volpaia. This ghostly town is in the middle of nowhere and is one of the jewels in Tuscany in my view. We are staying at La Locanda (will write a separate review); on our way back from Volpaia, a few miles away, we encountered a little deer, and a black boar crossed... More

Delicious food accompanied with the local Volpaia wine. We were served numerous amuse bushes with our meal which were creative and equally delicious. Thoroughly recommend stopping off here for lunch

Description
Volpaia's Osteria is the official restaurant of the Castello di Volpaia's winery. We serve only our organic wines and food from local providers. From here you can leave for a tour of the cellars of Volpaia hidden in the ancient village or book your private lunch, dinner or tasting in the frescoed halls or in the old vintages cellar.
