What could be nicer on an autumnal Sunday afternoon than a wonderful meal in a lovely woodland setting? We had the 3 course meal and it could not be faulted! The menu caters for non meat eaters with excellent fish dishes and there is a vegetarian option. Fine dining quality meals in a relaxed atmosphere. The surroundings are very pretty... More

What a surprise to find a restaurant in the middle of nowhere with Michelin star quality. There were five of us and we tried most of the dishes. Each was absolutely delicious with inspired combinations. The brochette of breast of duck was a highlight as was the entree of rabbit and mushrooms. The desserts were just wonderful. Service was really... More

Lunch after visiting paper mill at brousses et villaret. Hard to find so look out for the signs and drive down narrow road that seems to lead nowhere. Superb meal indoors on drizzly day. Would have been even better on terrace if weather had been better. Remote location in the black mountain woods close to river which feeds canal du... More

Cuisine is super, friendly people and a really nice place to eat in a beautiful green surrounding. If you want you can rent some bikes to discover the banks of the river Alzeau.

The restaurant is at the point where the river is diverted into the feeder canals for the Canal de Midi. One can walk through the forest by the river and then back along the path by the 'rigole'. This can then be followed by a lovely lunch on the patio outside or inside if cold. The food is simple but... More

If you are in the area this is a must for two reasons. Firstly I would recommend that you park up near the restaurant after breakfast or lunch. Go and explore the 28km of enchanting forest at the location. There is a well defined walk here and plenty of scope to go off piste if you desire. There are streams... More

Great food, good service and a magical setting. We were there on a cold, misty day, which only added to the magic and made the warm welcome even warmer.

We had a fabulous lunch at this lovely restaurant. It's tucked away in the mountains but if you follow the directions given it's not hard to find. They have a beautiful outdoor patio that has shade and cover for sun and rain. We had the foie gras as well as the salmon with beets appy and both were so delicious!... More
