Fleurs Place had been on my bucket list for a while so when a trip to the South Island beckoned we had to work the itinerary so we could make our way to Moeraki. And how glad am I that we did... Fleurs Place was...just now I imagined from everything I had read about it over the years. Fleur was there (as she almost always is) and her generosity of spirit is evident from beginning to end. I can’t eat wheat but no problem. THE most delicious gluten free bread arrived with my smoked eel terrine starter. My very cautious husband even said he would like to try it but no way was he getting MY bread. No problem. He received his own bowl of mixed breads in seconds and proceeded to announce that eel is delicious! All this and after a quick chat with Fleur she gave me her recipe for the bread. Our mains were outstanding. The fish was beautifully, but simply cooked. It is very easy to disguise not so fresh fish with fancy sauces but here the freshness is evident and has nowhere to hide. They even had gluten free desserts to die for and the evening was made complete with the arrival of a sea lion outside the window and a long, friendly, chat with Fleur. This is food grown and caught with passion, cooked with respect and served with abundance. Thank you for an unforgettable evening.More

We had heard and read plenty about Fleur's Place so made a special effort to get there. Well worth the effort. We had a long lunch with shared asparagus entree followed by blue cod. Both prepared and presented to perfection. Finished off with creme brulee...and upside down date and ginger cake. Well worth the visitMore

Never disappointed with the quality of food and service at this restaurant. Dinner was outstanding and Fleur's personal attention to details and connecting with clients is a testament to her commitment of high quality food and service to her clients. I was absolutely stuffed and...could barely eat all of my meal.More

Once again it did not disappoint. Organised our trip around a night stay in Moeraki and a table booking at Fleurs Place. Sensational food. Have to say the creme brulee dessert was not up to scratch - but you go there for the seafood, not...dessert!More

Hands down one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever been to.easily a top nz seafood meal . Read this was a must stop and it is,you should try book if its lunch as it was full but you can wait at the bar for...a table The staff are super ,really knowledgeable and will chat you through the menu if you like,we met fleur herself who is super passionate and a joy to talk to. The food was amazing !! I had a skate wing stew, delicious and warming on a cold day, tasted amazing and the meat fell off the bone . Would have been good to get a heads up it arrived as such and you will strip it but worth it .himself had the fresh elephant fish with veg and potatoes ,simple and tasty . Simple perfect fish ,we couldn't ask for me There is an extensive wine and drinks menu too, couldn't recommend this any higherMore

Fleur is famous and when you dine at her restaurant you will see why. We finally got around to visiting Moeraki last weekend - mainly because we wanted to dine at Fleurs. This is not a cheap restaurant but when you visit you will see...why. The food, ambience, views, wine, and service are all outstanding. Cannot wait to return!More

We had lunch here and our lunches of John Dorie with smoked mussels and Blue Cod wrapped in smoked bacon were delicious. The vegetables were just cooked and really complemented the succulent fresh fish. The ambience of Fleurs place was special, as was the setting...of being nearly sitting in the water. We will be back. Thanks Team Fleur!More

It’s been ten years since we got engaged and had a meal here and it is just as magical now. I’ve eaten in fancy and not so fancy places in London , Paris, New York, and HongKong and Fleurs ....is something special. For me it...is pure joy. The service is seamless, the kitchen Is poetry in motion. Fleur herself quietly makes you feel at home. It is all completely relaxed yet delivers food that still .. ten years later brings a tear to my foodie eye. This is not a place for starched napkins and pompous dishes. It is a place to love food and the people you share it with. Fleur and the team thank you.More

Yes it is very relaxed there so as long as you don’t go bare chested you will be fine! Lots of people do dress nicely to go there but clean and casual clothes are all that is required .
