We had Tea at the Castle. This is a must have while in Ireland. That was a great experience. The tea sandwiches were very taste.

Just amazing food and service in an exquisite room. We had a beautiful dinner and breakfast at the Castle and would highly recommend the restaurant.

Had lunch in the gardens...perfectly beautiful. The entire castle and grounds are lovely and peaceful. Liked eating in the bar as well. Would someday love to stay here!

Dromoland is what you expect in a five star property. The staff is all dressed in appropriate uniforms and very friendly. The rooms are large and very tastefully decorated to a level you would expect in a high-end resort. There are a wide variety of activities from golf to falconry to horseback riding available. We participated in fishing. Clem who... More

There are several options for eating at a range of prices in the Castle. We tried two, the main Earl of Thomand dining room and the adjoining Gallery. The former is not cheap and you will have difficulty finding an inexpensive wine, but the food is excellent and the service impeccable. We only had a modest meal in the Gallery... More

What 5 Star hotel would ask their guests to leave their table in the middle of the meal for the sake of accommidating more people, and places us into smaller table !!!!! What was shocking that table that we sat had no reserve on it and we were in our rights to seat at that table. The irony of this... More

Had four for lunch in the Dromoland Castle, enjoyed good food while overlooking the golf course, lake and gardens. All the food was excellent, having omelets, seafood chowder and sandwiches. Not overly expensive and the wait staff was very attentive.

It was our last night in Ireland and my birthday weekend, so we treated ourselves to staying here and also trying the 8 course tasting menu at Dromoland Castle. I am so glad we did. We tried things we might never have ordered, and we loved every course. The food was paced so we weren't rushed at all. In fact... More

A fully functioning hotel in its own grounds, Dromoland Castle is a cut above the rest. It is easy to find just off M18 near Shannon airport in County Clare. Through the huge gates the driveway meanders along the immaculate 18 hole golf course. The club house is one storey with bar and restaurant and a gorgeous walled garden behind.... More
