Traveling with an 8 and 3 year old. The kids loved the experience. We signed up for the 8:30 to 11 show. Fun entertainment, the food isn't outstanding, but they got to eat with their fingers and use a wash bowl. The dinner is set on long tables so we got to meet other groups. If you are in for... More

We greatly enjoyed the banquet at the castle. The food was amazing, the mead/wine was delicious, and the staff made the entire night an experience of a lifetime.

There was certainly a lot of laughter as we ate without the use of forks and spoons. The musical entertainment and goings on were lots of fun as well.

This was one of my favorite things I did in Ireland. Step back into time for a traditional 12th century feast complete with the Laird of the castle, mead, music and entertainment but be prepared, it is as authentic as they can get, you do not use silverware, just your "dagger" like back in those times. This was an awesome... More

Our expectations were that this would be an evening of hokey entertainment, but we were pleasantly surprised. The entertainers were quite good, and meals were plentiful and hot. I was offered alternative drinks and appetizers when a server noticed that I didn't want what was offered to the group. My only complaint would be how crowded the dining room was.

The food was surprisingly good, and the entertainers are musicians and actors. There is a flair for the dramatic, so be prepared that you might get called out to participate, but it is all in good fun. Pace yourself with the courses, it is A LOT of food, and the dessert is worth saving room for.

Our expectations were exceeded by the quality of the delicious food and professional entertainment at this feast. Must be able to climb a flight of stairs into the Castle - after that the stair climbing is optional - staff was very accommodating to my knee replacements and seated me near restroom and near the heart of the performance! Watch out... More

If you're visiting County Clare you'd be wise to enjoy the unique experience of the Medieval Dinner at Bunratty Castle. It is quite something! You'll get an opportunity to have a welcoming cup of mead, see beautifully costumed courtiers, hear wonderful harp music, dine with the king & queen themselves and be seriously entertained. Oh, yes, and have the possibility... More
