Absolutely wonderful experience at Chez Hans, from the barman that greeted us as we arrived, the server that escorted to our seats, to the server whom took our order, to the chefs in the kitchen. The resteraunt it self, very well thought of table layouts...More

The setting in Cashel’s former Synod Hall, built in 1861, and bought by chef Hans Peter Matthiae and his wife Derry, in 1968, is charming, the ambiance usually relaxing and food is well neigh perfect. Their son, Jason and his wife Louise took over Chez...More

Our visit could not have been more perfect. Having a drink while we ordered in the bar area and then moving to the dining room was a different concept for us. Both the bartender and our waiter were charming and humorous. And the food!!!! Absolutely...More

According to the reviews ,expected more. Lovely relaxed atmosphere as you enter the bar area and have a glass of wine before you order prior to entry into the dining area of a converted church. Wait staff were most friendly and accommodating. The food though...More

Who could ask for anything more. Although it's a converted church, the atmosphere is of a medievil castle. The food was served at a liesurely pace that allowed time for conversation between courses. After two hours, we were sated.
