Overpriced food. We ordered some breakfasts and asked for fried eggs. The girl behind the counter nodded. When the breakfasts arrived, the eggs were rock hard as they were microwaved . I complained about the eggs and I was told they always made eggs like...that as they didn’t have a pan to fry the eggs! What cafe doesn’t have a frying pan ? My complaint was basically ignored. The sausages were luke warm too, it was an awful breakfast . It appeared that everything was done in the microwave. There was a lot of young staff who didn’t seem to know how to handle my complaint. As we were leaving , no one asked how the meal was and when I said again about the eggs I was told they were microwaved eggs for the last 5 years and no one complained about it ! Our kids enjoyed the ice creams so it is probably best to avoid breakfast here and just stick with an ice cream! Staff ignore complaints and charge you full price regardless with no compensation for an uneaten breakfast, not even a complimentary coffee was offered , avoid !More

It is such a lovely place to have breakfast or grab a fantastic ice-cream! The owner is very friendly. And you can get a free entrance voucher to the Rock of Cashel, which is a great bonus 😊

Friendly staff and excellent coffee. We were intrigued by their Irish gelato but still rather too full after breakfast to try it!

Friendly, family owned business. They make you feel welcome from the second you open the door and the excellent service only continues with polite staff and an Irish breakfast that encapsulates the very essence of Irish culinary delight! Can't wait to come again!

Walking back to the car after the Rock tour we spotted Grogan’s. Both got smoothies and they hit the spot especially on a warm day.

After a long drive to Cashel we were hungry and looking for someplace to get some lunch. We found this jewel. Our meal was fantastic, but the experience with the family made it much more special. They showed us where to park and gave directions...for the short walk to the Rock, then gave us a coupon for a discount on the admission. They shared stories with us and asked us about our home. We had some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had. We also noticed all the locals coming in. That’s always a good sign! When you come to Cashel, you must eat at Grogans!More

We lucked into this wonderful cafe when we arrived in Cashel to visit the Rock. We parked in front of the cafe trying to get our bearings. My husband went inside to ask for directions and out came Tommy, the owner. He is a charming...and welcoming host who offered the best deal we could have possibly found...free parking in his car park, free tickets to the Rock with the only caveat of coming back to his place for our lunch to spend the equivalent of the ticket price per person at his cafe. We jumped on his offer, and boy, it was the best decision! Tommy’s food is extraordinary! The homemade vegetable soup was delicious and the chicken Vol-au-vent melted in our mouths and warmed our stomachs. The service was tremendous, and Tommy’s warmth and kindness was like being in your mom’s kitchen. His kids also worked there and were as kind as he! Visit Grogans when in Cashel....it will be the best decision you ever make!!!More
