Called in here one night for a bite to eat after having a drink when we first arrived in town. The same man was serving meals as well as tending the bar. No other staff seemed to be around and I am not sure but think he cooked the food as well as he disappeared for lengths of time. I... More

We found this by chance. No typical tourist scenery of loud live music and tons of tourists but instead a bar decorated with a selection of all kind. A warm atmosphere, an attentive staff and the food was really excellent.

Visited here as we ate before. Think portions were a lot smaller this time, the quality was excellent but a little pricey. We ate here in winter portions much bigger. Only one person on duty to look after the whole place and didnt check us until we were almost finished. Will try again to see if yesterday was just a... More

Thank you for your review. With regards to portion sizes it our aim that all our meals are to a certain standard in terms of quantity. We aim to check diners twice during their meals. Unfortunately we often have just one waiter on the floor at certain times of the day. This may mean that some diners are only checked... More

I've been working locally for a couple of months and visited a few of the pubs. This is one of the best and very traditional. The food is very good, especially the roast of the day. The Guinness is possibly one of the best served pints in the town. I'd highly recommend the food here which is all fresh cooked.... More

The food wasn't that great, my lamb chops were over cooked tasted as if they had been deep fried, veg was nice, drinks weren't very nice, wouldn't go again.

We've lived locally for over a year, and this was the first time we've visited Tierney's although people had recommended it to us a number of times - and were we pleased we finally visited! The pub/restaurant is spotless and so full of character with numerous cosy places to sit comfortably and enjoy the ambience. The food was well made,... More

We stopped by Sean Tierney's on our way from Kerry to Dublin. It was bit of a homecoming for me, as I'm a Tierney from the US and while I might be biased, I have to say this was one of the extraordinarily decorated pubs I've ever been it. My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch (I had the... More

One of my favourite places to socialise in clonmel. Sean- you and your staff rock. This is one of the few truly unique places in the country and thus far is largely hipster free. Get in there before they ruin it.

An attractive old pub on one of the main shopping streets in Clonmel. Worth a stop for a pint. Food was average pub fare.
