Great pub with awesome bartenders, Sean was very accommodating. We’ve had lovely evening overall, definitely recommend.
We got a great introduction to the local craft beer from Shanagh and his very helpful colleagues , really enjoyed our stopover in Lisdoonvarna
My wife and I stopped in for lunch today. We were greeted by a cheerful barkeep by the name of Shanna (probably spelled that wrong) and dismissed after a specular meal by Bridey (excuse that spelling as well). Our server, Tina, (I think I got...that one) was extremely attentive and just plain fun. We were in a playful spirit (heck, we’re in Ireland after all) and she joined right in. All-in-all, it was a fantastic experience. And the smoked salmon is heavenly.More
We were the yesterday, it's a beautiful pub with an really interesting backstory. Staff is really friendly and especially Shanangh gave us a lot of tips for our further trip.
This is an excellent stop of for food and refreshments I had the burger special of the wagyu beef burger from a co clare farm and it was outstanding. There was a music session at the pub when we were there and a fantastic atmosphere...well done Peter Jackson we are all looking forward to calling again.More
We stopped here after traveling up from Killarney to see the Cliffs of Moher. We tried this place because it was #1 on TripAdvisor in this small town and we were very glad we did! We ordered the fried prawn scampi, fish and chips and...seafood chowder. The seafood chowder was full of large pieces of quality seafood. The scampi was well-seasoned and fresh - truly a delight. And the fish and chips was fresh and great as well. Overall, a delicious experience and I would highly recommend. Incidentally, we arrived right about six and we had our choice of seats. By 6:30, the tables were full. Get here early!More
Amazing meal, live music and great service. Owner has only been running this place for 6 weeks. Great night and met some really nice people.
New owner is reviving this great venue. Fantastic food and service. Great venue attached for larger events or parties. Highly recommend as it will only continue to get better as he has more time with it. We will definitely return.
Stopped here for lunch. Had shrimp scampi, wings and seafood chowder. Delicious! Peter is absolutely a wonderful and talented chef. Service is great. Of course pouring delicious Guinness is a plus. 😀 Definitely will come back for when I’m in town.
A pleasant evening with nice scampi and fries. Dessert of white cheesecake and Ferrero rocher was very tasty. We were welcomed into the pub by a friendly young gentleman. A very nice and relaxing establishment
I loved the place and the food a lot! You should go for some specials for sure, they are delicious. Thank Peter Jackson for keeping the life music tradition as well.
Nice place to eat typical dishes and taste good beers, home brewed. Owner and family serving inside. A relaxing stop in the Burrens.
If you ever find yourself in the village of Lisdoonvarna in County Clare do yourself a favor and visit this delightful pub. The food is over the top good, cooked by owner and chef Peter. This is as traditional an Irish pub as you can...get and Peter will enhance your trip mightily! A must do!More
Peter is the new owner and is not only an incredible chef, but one of the kindest most helpful individuals you could meet. My family and I were just driving through Lisdoonvarna and stopped for a quick bite to eat, not knowing anything about the...Roadside Tavern. When we left we felt like we had just dined with a friend. Peter gave us tips about other places in the area to see and visit, shared fun stories about his knowledge of the area, and made us food I will be dreaming about until my next trip to Ireland. All of his ingredients are locally sourced and fresh. My cousin is vegetarian and there were plenty of options for her as well. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we made the hour drive from where we staying in Adare just to go enjoy the food and Peter’s company again. I will definitely be returning to the Roadside Tavern on my next trip to Ireland. Thank you Peter! :)More
