I recently was part of a seating of 150 people at this fine old tavern for a three course lunch on a trip sponsored by a truck manufacturer. The food was served with incredible efficiency and was a truly delicious traditional Irish meal. The corned beef and cabbage made it to the table hot and fresh and the house Made... More

Whenever we go to Howth we stop in here for a bite and a drink. Food is always good and the waitresses are especially helpful. They will give you a small portion of fish if you're not up for the full one. Not many places do this. Its reasonably priced and homely and is located right next to the ruins... More

Cosy pub with interesting local art pieces for sale. Has several HD tvs throughout so good for sport. Lovely clean toilets. There are function rooms upstairs and a regular Irish traditional music night and live bands. Friendly staff. We popped in for a drink in the afternoon and booked a table for that evening. There was a personalised paper shade... More

We went here after a walk at the cliffs, since there wasn't much of a choice during Winter season. The interior is nice and the service was good. I ordered the catch of the day, and you could taste the freshness out of the sea trout! Overall, all of our four-member party was really satisfied and the bill wasn't by... More

Worth the walk up the hill to this quaint pub which winds round the narrow roads. Really friendly & great pub food - would recommend the seafood chowder

We went here for a Sunday roast when we spent a week in Howth, and it was so good that we kept going back. It's a lovely pub with great food and slightly off the tourist track (though we're tourists!) so a little more relaxing. The bartender was very friendly, giving us samples of the local beers so we could... More

Went as a group for dinner and show consisting of Irish music and traditional Irish dancing. The meal was surprisingly delicious, waitresses very effiicient and the entertainment was outstanding. You may request a favorite song. You may be asked to join the dancers on stage if you sit in the front row. Lots of energy and talent.

I was in this pub for food and drinks the night Ireland was playing against Italy in the European Cup. I had a fish platter and chicken wings and both were delicious. We visited The Abbey Tavern today for a quick drink after looking around this lovely seaside town of Howth.
