I used to live near Howth and this was one of my favourite places to go. Delicious food, excellent service, fabulous atmosphere. I have never been disappointed here. I was back home visiting recently and this was a must-do on the to-enjoy-list. Plenty of choice on the menu both for fish lovers and otherwise. I usually belong to the otherwise... More

This is a busy restaurant like its neighbours but we were lucky to get the last table without reservation. The decor includes a lot of monkeys from plush to pictures. The fish and chips was delicious but the trio of salmon was the meal we tasted here. The desserts were better than average but the seafood is definitely their speciality.... More

I had dinner there on recommendation of a friend. That evening, I was early, so was able to take advantage of the early bird. menu. As I love chowder, one of my favourite dishes, I chose it as starter followed by the hake as the main course. The chowder was lovely, like chowder should be. Lots of fish and seafood,... More

The food consisted go calamari, 4 tiny shrimps, 1 piece of salmon and 1 piece of cod, a slice of brown bread with SOMETHING gooey and chips. Everything was deep fried and overcooked. Very disappointing and a total rip off. Reckon the whole lunch cost about... More

Hi there, I'm really surprised by your comments as we had been receiving great reviews about the seafood sharing platter for two. I'm so sorry you didn't have the same experience. The items on the platter change daily with the freshest seafood we receive. I will pass your comments to the kitchen to maintain quality control. Thank you and apologies... More

Thank you. We get very busy during the summer. It is definitely recommended to reserve a table to avoid disappointment. We are so glad you got a table as a walk in, without a booking and didn't feel rushed during your meal. Many thanks The Brass Monkey More
