The setting is gorgeous (especially when the sun shines, as it did yesterday) and the food is very tasty. Unfortunately the staff are just not welcoming (although there was a distinct thaw when our dog rubbed up against our waitress, to her initial surprise - fortunately she was a dog lover) which is a disappointment. Had we received a less... More

We had some lovely food in this place. We came twice and we really liked it. Outside lovely view on the little harbour.

Visited after a long days travel and were looking forward to being in such a beautiful location. The frosty welcome we got set the tone for our visit. When we asked for the menu it was as though we had offended someone. When we placed our order I was told to wait for my drinks and handed a tray with... More

Visited on a rainy Father's Day with a large party to not the warmest welcome we received in Ireland. Food was decent - great crab appetizer and muscles, fish and chips were a little greasy and not a ton of fish. Pretty mediocre. Would be better with warmer staff on a sunny day by the pier.

Had an excellent dinner at Arundel's. Seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was attentive. But never rushed. As always in Ireland, portions were plentiful. Make sure to save room for the homemade ice cream!

Wonderful! Outside seating by the bay. Good food any time of day. Came back from last year. Will come back next year.

Stopped for lunch with friends on a sunny afternoon, sat outside overlooking the bay. Very friendly staff serving excellent food. Best chowder I've had in a long time. Will definitely be going back.

Upon arriving at arundels, we were eageraly anticipating good food and welcoming atmosphere as according to the reviews we checked out on trip advisor. We entered a crowded bar and at reaching the eating area the tables were all empty apart from 2 which has reserved signs, we sat at a table that was shown to us by the waitress,... More

The setting is magic, looking out over dunmanus bay. Outside seating looking right onto the water is available. Its a simple country pub who now specialise in food, really good food cooked well but nothing fancy. The staff are friendly and the owner hovers attentively but unobtrusively to make sure that everyone is happy at all times. Its a distance... More

Visted on a Tuesday evening, staff very helpful as they found us a table despite being busy. Excellent meal of local mussels and fish pie, had two main courses, two drinks and one sweet total 38 euros. Lots of locals eating and drinking, it is a small pub so I suggest you book. Also accepts dogs in the bar area.... More
