Visited for lunch with a group of friends.. It's in a beautiful setting and has a nice decor inside. Menu was pretty good overall, enough selection and plenty of local fresh fish. We ordered a selection of starters, crab, wings and baked cheese - all pretty nice but some of the group did not enjoy the cheese dish. Mains had... More

Ate here several times while walking on the Sheepshead Way. Is also the starting point for several walks. Nice line in pub humour on the walks. Freshly cooked fish and chips washed down with a pint of the black stuff, just great after a few hours walking!! Very pleasant opportunity to sit on the grassed area across the road from... More

The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was very cordial. The food was excellent. I particularly liked the local Durrus cheese served in a Japanese style 'tempura batter'. I also had baked potatoes with a seafood filling which were delicious. There were six of us and everybody enjoyed their meal. I would definitely go there again.

We at here for the first time while visiting Ahakista. We love it! My boyfriend had the beef and Guinness pie and I had the steak sandwich. Both were fabulous. The waiter was very friendly. We recommend stopping in while visiting the sheep head peninsula.

Had dinner 2 nights in a row while staying at a B&B closeby in Durrus. Great food, cozy atmosphere. Burger, fish & chips, mussels - everything was delicious.

It was our first visit to the Sheeps Head Peninsula, what a fantastic experience, the views and vistas..the best in the world. We completed the Lighthouse Loop and drove back the road to Ahakista and decided to rest-up at Arundels by the Pier....a good decision. The owners are most welcoming and we had a lovely seat by the window with... More

What a gem. Arrived at lunch time on a day when the sun was shinning. Met by the owner ans had the most wonderful afternoon. The food, mostly fish chowder was sublime. Survice was friendly and first class. The Guiness flowed and the afternoon passed too quickly. Cannot praise the establishment too highly. Wonderful setting with stunning views. We all... More

We had lovely lunch with really nice views from the bar we been here a few times over last few years and always been good food. The service is friendly with a lot of locals eating which is always a good sign. We will be back. They normally have a very good fish offering.

My husband and I visit frequently - usually for some drinks on a Sunday afternoon, but we have also eaten there. This place is a gem. There's always a great atmosphere with a good mix of locals, day-trippers and tourists. The proprietors are genuinely nice people and appear to value our custom as much when we have a couple of...
