Arundels by the Pier is an integral part of any trip to Sheep's Head. A glorious view, overlooking the sea and very gracious, welcoming hosts. Food is always good here and the drink is pretty good too! Will be back and looking forward to it....

We'd been looking forward to eating here, but were very disappointed and won't go again. The chowder had no seafood in it, only whitefish and some bits of smoked salmon - and a fair amount of vegetables. The crab gratin was just crab with grilled cheese on top, no flavour at all, plus two small leaves of lettuce and a... More

Decided to try Arundels again after being disapointed there in August. Once again we found that the fries had been refried several times and were not drained properly. One bowl even had slightly fresher ones on top to disguise the darker brown ones under! One of my friends had fish and chips and one of the pieces of fish was... More

Very popular with the locals which is always a good sign. Our waitress was great and the meals came out in a timely fashion. The chef is a French woman and the meals reflect this. Lucky enough to be here on a sunny Sunday evening so we sat outside looking over the bay....a beautiful location. The meals were a good... More

We came for a visit again this year, but unfortunately were only able to stop by for lunch. It was good - above all the chowder which is the best I have had in west Cork (and I have had many chowders in the county over the last two years). The service was still good and pleasant. Lovely, airy, informal... More

Arundels has been around for a long time. It is in a stunning location, right beside the small harbour at Ahakista. The food here is good quality pub grub with a great blackboard of special items. The dining room upstairs is a relatively new space and is a lovely place to eat. The bar, downstairs, can be a bit crowded.... More

we stopped here on our tour of the Sheep's Head Peninsula. Lovely location overlooking the sea, very quiet and very relaxing. Good choice of meals which were a very good standard.

Called in for lunch, had the muscles as a main, absolutely delicious one of the best I have had. We also went for an evening meal, we were in the restaurant this time upstairs, and it did not disappoint, great food and great price. We have eaten here 2 years previously, and we really like it. Cant wait to visit... More

My wife & I came here on the way to Sheeps Head and we were immediately told to "sit there" at a tiny table right on top of another couple even though the place was dead. You could hear a pin drop, no music whatsoever. My wife went to the toilet and the waiter decided that would be a great... More

As we were self catering the plan was to eat out @ lunch then have a platter of local produce in the evening. Having lunched @ Arundels I'm not sure any further food will be needed later. We sat outside on a lovely sunny day ,taking time to enjoy the view whilst having a cold drink & perusing the menu.... More
