Quirky place with natural wood tables and benches. Good selection of Irish grub and enormous portions. Friendly and efficient staff. Gets busy quickly at lunchtime as locals enjoy the good food and good value.

Ate in the snug at the weekend after it was recommended by a number of people. Food was lovely and service was quick. They were in the middle of renovating though so would love to return and feel the full ambiance when it is fully back to normal. Only complaint is that the burger was too big! Very reasonable also... This place is tiny and busy, but worth the wait. Excellent food and the staff took our order while we were waiting for our table so we were served very quickly. Husband had a burger and I had a chicken dinner - both excellent, great salad, fresh food, would make it a priority to stop in again when in Bantry.

One of those unique experiences that makes travel fun. This narrow restaurant and bar has handmade tables made with tree slabs and branches stripped of the bark. So creative. The food is excellent. We went back twice. They have specials that are like A+ home/professional chef cooking. They serve extra root vegetables. We had leftovers.

Great pub with good food, including an excellent chowder. THE place to sit and enjoy the pint and the banter.

We also ate here last night and couldn't have had a more different experience than the reviewer below. The staff were welcoming And helpful in every way.All the food was delicious (brill for the adults) and despite ordering "off-menu" for the kids, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We had never heard of the place until yesterday but will... More

Our family visited here tonight. We had chicken wings that were fatty, greasy and tasteless. The children's menu was €7.50 and had a good variety but the quality was terrible, the chicken nuggets were the cheapest of the cheap and a far relation to chicken. The monkfish was rubber, the veg overcooked. Worst of all the staff didn't seem to... More

We had 2 lovely evenings at the Snug during our holiday in West Cork. Good wholesome food. Efficient friendly service. Lovely lively pub atmosphere. Totally recommend the Snug.

Fantastic food and service and great price for a family of 4 would return again if ever in Bantry area. We visited on a very busy evening in July and nothing was to much for our waiter
