Stopped on our way to Ring of Skellig for a coffee; the coffee from the self make coffee machine was really horrible so we gave it back; we did however buy the best quiche we have had in a very long time; it was delish, and some yummy brown bread, so, forgiven for the bad coffee!

Called in to collect a picnic lunch, lovely warm welcome and banter. Fabulous pastries, soda bread and fudge as well as so many other delicacies... spoilt for choice.

A local recommended me to go to jacks. I never ate brown bread and jacks has converted me. Although it's almost like a cake?!? The pastries are also good. Just be warned it is not a coffee shop. You can buy coffee from a self serve machine and your buys on chairs outside. (We thought it was a cafe- but... More

We were told that the cakes/pastries from Jacks were to die for. Visited quite early while they were still baking, they sell while pastries are still warm. The staff were very chatty and interested in where we were going, friendly and welcoming. Had sandwiches and pastries here, ate them later on a beach near Dingle. Life doesn't get much better!... Forget viewpoints and home made sarnies. This place has to be a definite stop for lunch or a snack. The choice is massive, the food is out of this world and you will not be disappointed. Don't drive past or you'll regret it!!!!

This little bakery on the edge of the Ring of Kerry should be your first stop! WE stayed down the street and ate here four times. The pastries are incredible. Probably some of the best ever. I am salivating just typing this. It is that good! If you don't stop its your loss!!!! It is more take away, although they... More

Apparently Jack worked in A bakery in Cork and this is the original recipe and you will not find a better apple tart. Plenty of other goodies in the store as well so pop in.
