During our recent visit to Killorglin, me & the missus popped in on the off chance of an evening meal after reading the menu board outside. Although it was quite busy, a table was quickly found for us and we felt truly welcome. Our waitress Christine was efficient and friendly, and was proud of the town and enthusiastic about promoting... More

Supper was in the bustling bar area and we were glad to have booked a table as it was almost full and only a Wednesday night. We ate both seafood chowder accompanied by Jack's soda bread to start, followed by a seafood platter and John Dory respectively. The chowder was sublime, loaded with crab claws and big chunks of fish.... More

Best meal we had out during a recent short break to Kerry. Chicken, halibut, lamb shank very well prepared and served with freshly cooked veg. Good quality wines on offer and a superbly kept Guinness. Service was excellent. Gets busy. Lots of locals in of all ages. Recommended.

We were staying in the area and had two meals in the Bianconi in the week. Very comfortable with a wide and interesting choice of food. The local crab salad as a starter was wonderful. Tasty and Healthy portions on the main courses. The whole eating experience was a joy. Thoroughly recommended but do book because they can become very... More

This was our third restaurant in Killorglin. It was good but not the best. Food was what you'd expect, but nothing which stood out and would make us want to stay and eat again. They were quite busy as it seemed the nice weather brought people out. I suppose I could chalk this up to another understaffed place at the... More

On a May Friday evening, the place was humming, and we just managed to get the last, slightly snug, table. The staff were run ragged but seemed to cope. Good selection of Irish beers. Nice atmosphere - we ate in the bar and the restaurant wasn't open (out of season?). The menu is very good for a pub, with a... More

Had the best tureen of seafood chowder I've ever had here. Also, great that they were still serving food after 7:00pm because the first two places I tried had already gone into pub-mode.
