My husband and I had eaten here twice when we were in Kerry in 2014, so we wanted to come back. Service was very nice, food was very good.

We had what I referred to as simply the nicest appetizer I've ever had...the Thai Beef salad was outstanding! Followed by the Seafood Mornay as the main which was extremely flavorful and the accompanied by an assortment of vegetables leaving you not wanting for anything. The service was excellent. I have never written a review of a restaurant before but... More

Having dinner at nicks you are treated to a high level of service where the wait staff are very warm and friendly. The attention given to minor details is obvious, lovely fresh bread with room temp butter. I had the duck which was tasty.

Nicks is a large restaurant specializing in sea food. Our meal was excellent and the surroundings and decor were beautiful. However as there we not many diners eating the evening we were there we felt it lacked atmosphere, - perhaps we ate early?

I wrote a review on nicks stating that I was unsatisfied recently as I had been many times before and felt that the standard had dropped massively. I am glad to say that their standard has really picked back up again and I had one of the nicest meals in my life there. I recommend the prawn cocktail to start.... More

Our B&B recommended Nicks the day we arrived. Hungry and tired, we just went along without question. I order the catch of the day which was said to be sea bass. My wife ordereded fish and chips which was said to be hake. Early into the meal, I suspected something "fishy". My "sea bass" resembled trout. So, just now, I... More

went back 2 days running and they greeted us like old friendsNothing was too much trouble. Friendly service and they changed our table when a large, noisy but not unruly crowd arrived.

We managed to squeeze in with a last minute call on a very busy Saturday night. We still received a warm welcome and attention throughout the evening. Excellent food, wine and service. The bill was amazingly low until I discovered that they had missed the wine! All was sorted. Still excellent value. One of our best all-round dining experiences in... More
