Our group of 12 visited Jack's recently a week night and had a wonderful meal. We'd been told it was very highly recommended, and it didn't disappoint! I had a simple salad to start, which was refreshing and not overwhelming in size or flavors. It was followed by the rack of lamb, which was delicious and cooked just to my... More

We had heard about Jack's on our trip to Kerry in 2014, but did not think we could get there easily. This time I was determined to have a taste of the place. We were both disappointed. It is a "five star" sort of place, but honestly, I think it is over-rated. Unique menu items. The portions are not nearly... More

My wife and I had dinner at Jacks and were not disappointed. The food was perfectly prepared. It was modern but not in an overly fussy way. Service was attentive and relaxed.

Visited Jacks recently as a birthday treat from our daughter & son. Friendly staff, excellent food. As we were being seated at our table, the waiter honed in on the conversation re the evening being a birthday treat for me & my wife. We had finished with no room for more but two of us decided to share a desert.... More

In general the food was very good, but someone's starter was forgotten, and then produced in a hurry, so the quality was not as good as others. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the service was quite attentive. However there was a birthday party going on at the same time, so they were very busy. The piano playing in the background... More

When I walked in I thought I wanted to leave. Once I had walked through the bar and into the restaurant WOW there were large windows looking out to the sea, a wonderful view and the food and service was excellent. There was a pianist playing some really good music. If in the area again would eat here again.

Dropped into Jack's for a spot of lunch on our way to Valentia Island. Received our usual warm welcome and propped our selves up at the bar and ordered Tempura Prawns with chips and salad. The prawns were succulent, the chips crunchy with soft potatoes middles and fresh salad with sweet chilli sauce to the side. The food was gorgeous... More

Restaurant is somewhat out of the way, ten minutes drive from Killorglin, but worth the trip. Panoramic views over the bay and sunset could be a bonus when it doesn't rain. Food and presentation was of a very high standard and you will not be disappointed, however it is not cheap and a restaurant definitely for a special occasion.

I have been coming here for 10 years with 3 friends (2 are locals) and this place never lets us down We arrived late on a Wednesday night having travelled from the UK and Limerick but were able to eat arriving at about 9.30pm. Food as always was excellent We then returned a few days later without a booking but... More

I took my parents on at 2-week trip to Clare and Kerry and we had a couple rather disappointing experiences when dining out. This was our last night in Ireland, so I was hoping for a better time, and we were not disappointed! Service was very welcoming, fast, and professional. We had the rack of lamb, the monkfish and the... More

Description
Jacks Coastguard Restaurant is a landmark building overlooking Rossbeigh and Inch Peninsula in the seaside village of Cromane between Kilorglin & Glenbeigh on the Ring of Kerry route. Nestled against the Atlantic Ocean, enjoy panoramic sea and mountain views in one of Kerrys Top Restaurants. The Station Bar and Coastguard Restaurant successfully combines old world charm with modern elegance.Guests can linger over a drink in the bustling Station Bar or enjoy the soft tones of the piano through the restaurant by our resident pianist JP Murphy. Only the finest and freshest of seafood is used to create dishes that would rival the most discerning of palate. Signature dishes such a Cromane Mussels, Tiger Prawns or perfectly seared Scallops should not be missed. For the unwilling seafood diner, our succulent Fillet of Beef should suffice nicely.
