Zest Bistro was established in May of 2010 and is part of Shannon Knights Bars which was established in 1972. Our idea behind Zest was to offer customers a relaxed casual dining experience in a visually rich environment with fantastic affordable food and excellent customer service. Head chef Clifford Ryan has but together a deliciously tempting menu to suit all tastes. Zest also offers an all-weather outdoor dining area. Zest is open daily from 10am-9pm.

A real welcome. Excellent staff. Great food/menus. Craft beers on draught. The chefs are really on point when it comes to surf and turf.

Food was nice, reasonably priced. Service was decent enough, although we were not offered refresh on drinks. Staff friendly.

Our B&B host recommended Zest. We found the food to be very fresh and delicious. Staff was attentive and helpful. Our bartender had great fun making art impressions in the foamy head of our Guinness!

Not many options in Shannon but this average place had one thing going for it. When it was time to pay the bill, the waiter (wish I could remember his name-Jonathan?) said we were leaving too much of a tip. Seriously? How often does this happen? I would go back again just for that reason. What a good, honest guy.... More

This nice pub/bistro hides behind the Knights Bar. My wife had baked chicken and it was very good with a load of mashed potatoes and some nicely cooked veggies. I ordered fish and chips. They were okay but the fish was mushy. It tasted okay but had no texture. The chips appeared to be hand cut and were good but... More

If I was rating on service only it would be five stars. The food not so much. My pan fried cod was very bland. My friend got the lasagna. As he put it "I can get this at any roadside take away".

We ate next door to this Bistro and went there for drinks after dinner. The place was so friendly - the bartender full of stories....we had a great time as it was our last night in Shannon. The place was not easy to find, but worth the search! In fact our bartender was our waiter next door - the place... More

We had a birthday meal for my sons 18th Birthday and the restaurant had decorated the tables and put a happy birthday message up for him. I thought this was a nice touch. Everybody loved their food and it was very good value. The buffalo chicken wings were lovely and the fish of the day. Staff were really friendly and... More

This was out last night before flying home to Chicago. The place goes by several names: Shannon Knights and Zest Bistro. I can't remember what we had (it was a couple of months ago) but I do remember that it was very good. My wife was particularly pleased with her fish dish.
