A Saturday night romantic dinner delight. I phoned & booked this on a Saturday afternoon and when we arrived to be seated the waitress remembered the booking and made us feel most welcome. The atmosphere is old, dark wood and lots of marine memorabilia on the walls. Like an old seaside inn from years ago. The menus has some great... More

Out for a walk in Kinsale we ended up sitting outside the Spaniard having a drink and decided to order food. The bar is nice, old style with a good variety of drinks so I ould recommend you call here. The food was a big disappointment though. I had the chowder for starter which had too much cream and butter... More

We found the main streets in Kinsale became a little overrun with bachelorette parties and loud music. This place is old, old and has a rustic charm. It's a few minutes walk away from the main drag but worth it if you are looking for a pint and a chat.

The building has charm but the food was so-so. Many more, better, choices in Kinsale. Is accommodating for children and the waitstaff were very nice.

Stopped in for a drink on our long walk around Kinsale. Interesting location on a hairpin bend and perfect refreshment stop. Obviously lots of history reflected in the decor and ambience of the Spaniard. Well worth a walk up the hill.

A black pudding starter that worked its magic on a wet Saturday evening will be the reason I will return. The reasonably priced main course was equally fulfilling. Very friendly staff.

We dropped in here last night for a couple of beers. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside on one of the picnic benches. It's a good people watching spot. Service was prompt and friendly. It's a nice place to just hang out and only a few minutes walk out of town.

This charming pub is an excellent place to enjoy a couple of drinks with locals and tourists alike. On this visit, myself and some family members strolled up from Actons for a quick drink as we hadn't been here in years. It's the same as we remember with friendly staff, a mean toasted sandwich and one of the best places... More
