We went to The White House three times on a two day stay so you can tell how much we liked it. On the first day we had lunch and it was so nice and pleasant there that we booked a table for dinner in...the restaurant that evening. It was a good move because dinner was excellent as was the friendly service. The next evening we returned for a nightcap in the bar. Really enjoyed it.More

Prices rather high for what you get but good was great! Were not given a table in the shade although asking for one, sitting in the sun while eating was exhausting. Nice place though!

We arrived at the White House without a reservation- and were quickly accommodated. The meal and service were excellent. We had the seafood special of place and monkfish. The waitress, Mandy, was very friendly and informative. Would recommend!

So disappointed from start to finish !!it's been a good few years since iv visited & have great memories of great meals & nights here in past years but the white house definitely was just so disappointing last Sunday evening , a group of 4...people & arrived at the door & asked for a table & told "Sorry no availability " Ok but we could see their was an empty bar , restaurant had 1 table of 4 and loads of other tables with reserved on them. so pointing out the obvious to the lady in question (near empty restaurant) We near but begged for one of the empty tables & she agreed !! We order our meal at 4 .30 PM ish & had main course followed by deserts & drinks & must say meals were only alright & by this time it's 6pm & a few more people are just coming to the reserved tables !! I definitely will not be back !!More

An excellent choice for seafood in the Kinsale area. We had the Pil Pil Seafood which was Prawns and the seafood chowder. Both were delicious as was the Sea Bass and the Fish and Chips.

We walked around Kinsale and sampled food at a lot of places, and the food was super imaginative and yummy here. I had a fruit salad with lychee, which was amazing. My mother had the pate, which she also really enjoyed. My son, on a...self-imposed soup tour of Ireland, got their soup of the day, which was potato leek, and it was unfortunately here where he discovered that he doesn't like leeks. I tried it and enjoyed it, though, so that's nothing against the restaurant. They had some lovely looking whiskey flights, which I wish we had time to try, because they looked great. Next time! I'd love to go back to this *when* we get back to Kinsale again.More

Wow , Amanda a wonderful host supported by Margaret and bar staff . Recommended Murphy’s and chowder off the menu. I have tasted both over many years . This place stands out for service , conversation , great food and a pint of Murphys that...rivals its competitors. I will return here for lots of reasons . The warmth of the place it’s true truism . The evening started really well as we entered, the manager greeted us and walked us through the Covid rules so we were at our ease straight away. The room was very busy but the staff had everything under control. Our order was taken promptly and...when we asked for advice on the wine the manager asked us a few questions on our likes and dislikes, she then made some recommendations which were all on the mark! The meals came and we were all blown away, we couldn't find any fault....and the lemon posset was to die for. We had a lovely, relaxed evening and the busy staff found time to check if everything was good and have a few words with everyone. Altogether a wonderful dining experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending the White House to anybody. We will be back!!More

A group of 13 of us enoyed a beautiful meal here last Saturday. The staff, service and food was second to none. They were meticulous about Covid certs, sanitising etc which was reassuring. The Manager could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We enjoyed...it so much we went back for a superb breakfast the following morning which was equally as tasty. Everyone in the group raved about the food. We will be back and thank you :)More

First of all the positives, Covid compliant, lovely restaurant space and clean toilets. Visited here last week, the menu was limited but there was something to suit most tastes. We were greeted by I assume the manager, as she was the only person not wearing...a black uniform. She barked at us to sanitise our hands, no problem with being asked but her manner left something to be desired. If only it had stopped there. We were shown to our table and given menus, ordered drinks and my friend had a question about whether the chicken was a fillet or on the bone. Our waitress was new and didn't know, so Miss Passive aggressive came over and explained. We then placed our order. I had the burger and my friend ordered the fish crumble. When it came the ratio of sauce to actual fish was very off. But because nobody seemed to be coming over, she had a few bites and decided not to send it back. Eventually the waitress appeared and asked was all OK and my friend explained what she felt was wrong and the manager with attitude came over, took it away and gave her a menu to make another selection, which she duly did. By this time, I had finished and went to the loo. While I was gone, the manager came and asked how the dish was, my friend said it was fine and the manager very sarcastically shouted, WONDERFUL, FANTASTIC! My friend finished her meal, nobody came along to ask if I wanted another drink, my glass had been empty for 10 minutes, the plates were there too, even though we had obviously finished. The manager eventually came over and took the plates and commented my friend had left half of it, then said, Well, you did eat half of the other one, inferring she had 2 dinners, when in fact she had picked a few bits of fish from the first meal and left the rest. My friend said that the portion had been very big, which it had, compared to the first plate. Neither of us could quite believe her attitude, we got the bill and left. My friend was so furious, she forgot to put her mask on leaving and the awful manager shouted to her, PUT YOUR MASK ON, THINK OF OTHER PEOPLE. Our evening was ruined by this awful women who clearly should not be working with the public. I would never go back. Plus my burger, though tasty, was dry.More
