We had a wonderful evening at the Man Fridays tonight. The service was excellent. The food was just amazing. We had fried brie for starters it was just mouth watering. I had the chicKen with the mushroom sauce and again it was excellent. The deserts...were just to die for. The homemade,Apple crumble was just delicious and the meringue with raspberry sauce was just the nicest desert that I have ever eaten. This is the best restaurant in Kinsale. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. I can highly recommend this restaurant to everyonr. It was also great value for money.More

We had a lovely evening in Man Friday recently on our visit to Kinsale. The restaurant was quite busy and we were shown to a lovely comfortable table to peruse the menu. Food was beautiful and good service and reasonably priced. Overall we had a...very enjoyable evening and would definitely return.More

we were recommended this restaurant by the receptionist at the hotel where we were staying. And it did not disappoint. The staff, despite there only being 2 of them front of house, couldn't have done more for us, taking time to chat with us despite...being busy. The food was amazing, served without any real wait. the restaurant was busy and had a lovely vibe about it. I would definitely go again if I was in the area.More

As with numerous other restaurants Man Friday has been impacted by an inability to source/retain chefs and is now closed on wed and sundays. The knock on from this is a very reduced menu which was hugely disappointing. The quality of the food was hit...and miss. The chowder was full of fish but lacking in flavour. It was also a very thin liquid more a bisque when a chowder. The mussels were beautiful, cooked to perfection. The steaks were excellent, the chips were piping hot. The accompanying veg tasted great but looked colourless and boring. The size of the size dishes was very small. So small in fact that a lady at a nearby table put the entire portion of veg, intended for three, on her own plate. We have been here many, many times but this is our first visit post Covid. Staff were lovely, welcoming and efficient but for what they are charging they really need to up their game.More

Could not fault the food as it was delicious and staff were so friendly. Brought our elderly mam and we entered the restaurant down the steps but my mum wouldn’t have managed going up the steps so we were showing a side entrance that we...could go out. Absolutely shocking, it was pitch black with no lighting, we had to turn on our phone lights to see where we were going. Not very accommodating for the elderly our people who use wheelchairs.More

Man Friday is very much old school dining....mountains of food, served in a traditional setting, with old world charm. We're talking pate, chowder , steak, black sole etc, all cooked well but with little finesse. The side order of potatoes and veg reminded us of what...you might be served at a wedding in a busy hotel. The wine list needs a bit of attention as well, incredible to see that they don't offer a Chardonnay or Albarino by the glass in a restaurant that serves so much sea food is a missed opportunity. Charming in many ways, but proof that you can't rest on your laurels.More
