Great food, wine and service - reasonably priced as a set meal for Sunday Lunch. Man Friday has never disappointed us. With a new outdoor seating area allowing more room for social distancing- open fire and screens to keep away the wind on this blustery...day. Fantastic.More

This is a lovely restaurant, great food, wine, staff, and of course the location. We sat in their indoor/ outdoor room, and although it was raining and getting dark, the aspect can be really appreciated. Overlooking the harbour and very picturesque. Heaters made it very...cosy. So atmosphere set, we moved onto the food selection, and everything was excellent. Scampi starter was light and crispy, with a nicely dressed salad. The stuffed mushroom was however outstanding. So many flavours, and a decent size portion. Fillet steak was good, if a little dry on the outside, but with a lovely smoky flavour and medium rare inside. But the seafood main was the star dish. Five different prime fish tasters, with a few mussels prawns and a baked oyster, was just perfect. A large dish, so no need for extra sides, but I finished every piece of the perfectly cooked fish. Delicious. Drink selection was very good, nice wines, plenty of other options too. Highly recommend this lovely place.More

I booked this restaurant while visiting Kinsale for one night last week, after reading reviews and it being recommended to me. I am so glad I did, the food and service was outstanding. Myself and my boyfriend were seated out the back with lovely views...on Kinsale. We were really impressed with our food and said it was the best meal we ever had, the flavours were incredible and I would definitely recommend the chicken supreme and the lamb for main course, the crumble for desert was mouth watering!! The staff were all very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a nice treat for dinner in Kinsale, this is the place to go!More

Booked for dinner here on our stay in Kinsale. Restaurant is nicely appointed with stunning view. Initial welcome was warm and friendly. We ordered the Scampi starter and crab gratin and both arrived promptly and were superb. The wine was also served promptly and was...reasonably priced for this standard of restaurant. After that we waited and waited. Other guests arrived and had their mains delivered but we were left with nothing. Eventually after 45 mins, we asked the waitress was there a problem and were told our mains were coming. No explanation and no apology. They arrived some 15 mins later. I had the duck which again was delicious, my partner had the turbot which again was lovely. However again no explanation or apology was given for the delay. It was too late to have dessert so we asked for two glasses of wine. Again we were told....they are coming after waiting 15 mins. At this stage the Restaurant was not busy. When the eine arrived we were told it would not be charged to the bill due to the delay. We brought this to the attention of the other waitress who took our payment and she was most apologetic, however, I am afraid we could not recommend this Restaurant as our experience was ruined by the simple lack of any apology or explanation for the delay at the time.More

Ate here while in Kinsale for the day. We ate from the early bird menu which was 31euro for three courses, steak being extra. Plenty choice for four different tastes efficient service and relaxing atmosphere. Would highly reccommend

Visited while spending a few days in Kinsale. Service and food top quality. We ate in a few different restaurants in kinsale during our visit and our group all agreed this was the best. Treat yourself and go here if you are in the area.

Beautiful restaurant, superb food, relaxing place to eat, would go back again and again, great name, reminded me of being in St Lucia, or the Bahamas has a real Caribbean feel about the place. A must visit for great food if your in Kinsale

Six of us ate here midweek. We sat in the 'outside' section which is actually well protected with wind breaks and overhead covering - so feels airy but also not cold. There were wall mounted heaters but they were not required. Food was very good....Service was efficient and very friendly and prices were reasonable with a total of €265 for 6 mains, two nice bottles of wine and coffees. They dealt very well with the 'Covid' requirements also. An enjoyable night out.More

I went to Man Fridays with a group of 5 friends. We had an absolutely fabulous evening there and really understood why Kinsale is known as the “Food Captial”. I had an extremely flavoursome and delicious vegetarian dish, which changes daily. Definitely the nicest veggie...dish I’ve had in a restaurant. My friends had meat and fish options and were all really delighted with their meals. We shared a bottle of the house red which was also stunning and great value for money. For desert we had the chocolate torte which I am still thinking about three days later- it was that good! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was also incredible. Would highly recommend to anybody who is visiting Kinsale.More

As a party of 4 we were lucky to get a place at this restaurant as we were walk ins , It was our Wedding Anniversary So it was lovely to go for a meal with our Son and my best friend. Or so we...Thought . The food was ok nothing to rave about . The male staff were pleasant, however the female waiting staff were like dinner ladies , ones you’d get at school no pleasantries. One waitress in particular swiped the cutlery and our drinks which we weren’t finished. Shouted In a load voice “I’ll be needing this table now “ . We barely got the time to get up from our seats . Considering that the bill came to over 200 euros and my husband left a good tip it was a disrespectful way to be treated . To top it all as we were leaving we were verbally abused by a group of senior citizens, who were trying to come in as we were trying to leave and social distance at the same time. I do think this is down to the restaurant management to organise properly and not for people to be piling in on top of other people trying to leave in this time of Covid ,One more thing the female toilets are filthy and out dated . We will never set foot in this restaurant again we made a bad mistake considering all the beautiful restaurants we could have chosen from in Kinsale .More
