While in Kinsale to meet a friend we decided to go to the Blue Haven for lunch. It was a fantastic experience, from the minute we walked in the door we were greeted with smiles & friendly staff who could not have done more to...look after us & the other diners. And compliments to the chef on the food, it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back here for food in the future.More

Went here for breakfast on Wednesday 16.09.20, didn't get to eat breakfast as food contained bits of glass which cut the inside of my mouth. Staff directed me to bathroom to clear out the blood in my mouth and quickly cleared the plates before I...returned. The floor staff were only young so I have no issues with them but no duty manager or kitchen staff came out to apologise. Though, the girl who served us advised that the hotel manager was due in later that morning and would call to see if things were OK....a week has nearly gone by and I'm still waiting for the call. We were in Kinsale for three days and ate in a number of places that we have recommended on TripAdvisor, but the Blue Haven is the story I tell to all that will listen...its all about the customer service.More

The Blue Haven looks so inviting which is what drew us in. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and efficient. The menu has extensive options and all food is proudly locally sourced and of the highest quality. I ordered the mussels and frites and my...partner had the fish tacos. We also had cold Kinsale Pale Ale beers on tap. The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. We then had a berry crumble with ice cream and hot custard - it was Devine! I would highly highly recommend The Blue Haven for food lunch or dinner it is one of the nicest meals I have had in so long! Exceptional! And the value is very good too.More

Had breakfast here - to be fair the bar area feels too warm for breakfast on a sunny morning. Service slow and a bit disorganised- the wrong toast came, coffee arrived way before the food. Toast was replaced very quickly in fairness. Staff seemed extremely...busy covering inside and outside and also dealing with the contact tracing faff. Happy to give the business but there are better breakfasts in Kinsale.More

Just enjoyed a lovely meal, having eaten here on our honeymoon 42 years ago. Great food and wine and looked after by lovely staff. Top restaurant. Highly recommended.

I ordered the vegan option which was called the cauliflower steak priced at €16 something. When it arrived I was very disappointed to find that it was literally just half a head of cauliflower with a bit of seasoning with absolutely nothing else with it....How on earth can you justify €16 for half a head of cauliflower. This place Really needs to update the vegan menu.More

The restaurant itself is very nice and COVID-19 protocols are extensive. The young staff were charming and we really enjoyed our family evening meal here - both the food and ambience. Kid menu choices are more extensive than most

Enjoyed a lovely meal here with very pleasant and attentive staff. Great selection of cocktails and 'mocktails' for the younger members in our party.
