Had heard a lot of great things lately and I agree this place really is a gem! You can sit in Gearoidíns with no fuss, and enjoy a nice lunch and sweet treat with your tea/coffee! A rare find, even in Clonakilty for the price, quality and service provided even when all the seats are full!

We were left waiting about 30 minutes waiting to eventually receive wrong order, staff member blamed her colleague & walked away swearing, then only half the order arrived & we informed staff, another staff member came out & blamed us for the wrong order & my husband had to get the menu to point it out to her that the... Stopped here for a sandwich and cake. Food was fabulous, tasty home cooked, well presented and served by a lovely waitress. Will be back again

Gearoidins is a very small café and all the food is freshly made by the proprietor. We stopped for a sandwich at lunchtime, and although the service was not quick, the sandwich was fresh and well filled with very tasty ingredients. I feel some comments made here are a little too negative. If you want something freshly made with care... More

We stopped here to have lunch. The menu was extensive and I was torn between a couple of things but we both agreed that our sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was very good too. As it was busy, obviously the word is out that it's a very good spot to have lunch.

The decor is a little on the old fashioned side and there are no locks on the loo doors, but if you are lucky enough to get in to this thirty odd cover restaurant you will find that the portions are large and the food is excellent. I would particularly recommend the chowder which with a hint of chilli is... More

Been here a good few times. Food nice. But really had enough of the slow service. Having sat there for 10 minutes and having called to be served (not busy so no excuse) we got up and left. So unless I hear it's improved I won't be back having been going there for 3 years.

If you are going with a friend(s) it is the perfect place for a coffee and cake and a long chat. Also if you want a really tasty lunch it's ideal. I don't think it's a place for kids as it is only small tearoom.

Lovely delicious hot food, great portions, lovely staff, excellent value at €46 for four courses for 2 people. Absolutely amazing desserts. Clean toilets. A nice friendly buzz about the place. Highly recommend.

It's not cool to be waiting for food when traveling with a 3-year-old. And when I say "waiting," I mean about 45 minutes! And then it arrives, without the extras requested. The cappuccinos were a no-show and needed another reminder. And the food really wasn't that great, even in spite of the wait. Not worth a return visit unfortunately...
