The restaurant is charming with great food and service. It's a bit expensive but worth it. Try the salmon.

We've been going to Dingle forever as it's site of our family ancestry and the Half Door always is a place we eat: was great when the town was small and had far fewer choices; still is!

We were walking in to town and stopped to read the menu at The Half Door. The early bird offerings sounded wonderful to us, and after a quick discussion the decision was made to dine here. Entering a super cosy restaurant and were made to feel very welcome immediately. A theme that continued for the rest of the evening. Now... More

We stopped into the Half Door and took advantage of their early bird value menu (served 6-7pm). Lots of good choices served impeccably. The service was excellent and the food worth the price. The desserts were quite a treat though hard to eat since we were so full! They had an extensive wine list--unusual for a town full of pubs.... More

Just returned from a 2 night stay in Dingle and ate here on both nights. The food here is absolutely amazing and you simply have to come here when in Dingle. For mains I had a beef trio which one of the nicest things I have ever eated, so much so that I had it again on the second night... More

Food was excellent. We both had fish which was superb. Wine choice was very good. Service was good. Very personal. Only negative was that it is on expensive side. Recommended and I would go back.

After a day of driving and hiking we headed to the Half Door for their early bird dinner. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and we found it to be reasonably priced for the area. We would highly recommend everything we tried -- my husband had a Caesar salad, steak, and bread pudding (truly amazing) and I ordered... More

We had the early bird special which is great value as you get a 3-course meal for 30 euro. Food was great as was the service. Highly recommend the hake and tiramisu!

When recently touring Ireland, our driver highly recommended The Half Door Restaurant, saying it was the best in Dingle. Indeed, it lived up to his recommendation. My husband, sister & I each ordered different three-course meals and all of the courses were superb with unique sauces & pairings of food. I especially enjoyed a huge seafood platter. The restaurant’s décor... More

We went for the 'early bird' option and found the meal expensive and disappointing. The Caesar Salad had lettuce in it and very little else - parmesan virtually non-existant. my main course of salmon was ok, but my partner's fish and chips were very poor. The chips were flabby and very salty indeed, not really edible. The cheesecake was ok.... More
