We had a really nice late lunch here - Soups, sandwiches and beautiful fresh salad. Rasonably priced and good service. I would definitely recommend!

We had lunch here during our trip on the Wild Atlantic Way. We had fish and chips and salmon sandwich. The lady running the place was very kind and efficient and the food was delicious. They even arranged for a fruit salad at the end!

I visited here recently. I am a tour guide and had Clients with me. The food was excellent and service was professional and very friendly. The food was fresh and locally sourced. I would highly recommend a visit here.

We arrived in Kenmare on Sat 16th July and decided to have lunch while waiting for our accomodation, 5 of us ordered an assortment of sandwiches each varying between 4.50 and 5.00. The sandwiches were ok , they were 2 slices of regular loaf bread and basic filling but without any accompaniment e.g salad, crisps etc, Rip off for what... More

Touring the south-west of Ireland with my wife and two small people. Had a wonderful meal here. Could easily come back here several times a month if I was lucky enough to live here. What a beautiful place Kenmare is. Many thanks to the kitchen brigade!

The varied menu and cosy atmosphere makes the Purple Heather one of our favourites for lunch. Great chowder, and open crab sandwiches, plus many others to suit your appetite.

I'm sure when the season is in full swing there are many choices to enjoy a luncheon or dinner at the in the scenic town of Kenmare in County Kerry. The Purple Heather was warm, welcoming, and delicious. The seafood chowder was one of the best my fiance has ever had and we are native New Englanders who think they... More

The food was ok but the service was spotty and the waitress was in a bad mood. The décor was very nice and reminded me of my grandmothers. As it was recommended by the owner of the Coachmans Inn, I was hoping to like it more.

What more can you say about a place that your cousin has enjoyed for 50+ years and we have enjoyed for more than 10 years. Warm, cosy, friendly, the ultimate in Irish comfort food. Brown bread, smoked salmon, Irish cheeses, fluffy omelets....the list goes on. On the High Street in Kenmare, sort of in the middle of everything.

We just had lunch there. The best Scones I have ever tasted. We had Crab Cocktail and an Omelette - both lovely. The owned Grainne O'Connell was wonderfully friendly and helpful.
