We went in for after dinner drinks and music. The musician was great and really fun to listen to but quiet enough to tune out when we wanted to talk. Bartender was friendly and drinks were good. Mostly tourists but a few locals. Fun pub

Came here for an early lunch and we were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great with traditional Irish music playing, old fashioned wooden booths to sit in, a fascinating collection of beer mats on the rafters and some seriously tasty traditional Irish food. Highly...More

I wanted to try the bacon and cabbage with my pint for the day so we stopped for lunch. I have to say the meal was good and the garlic ciabatta bread was great. The McGargle's red ale recommended by the staff was very good....More

Nice place in the heart of Kenmare with great quality of menu choices and great quality of food. Service was quite good too and the place was bustling and had a good atmosphere. Will happily visit again when in the area.

This is a lively pub with music most nights and serve desent food also . It can be busy so would advise going early if you have a young family looking for a bite to eat.

We had some wonderful bar/pub food but this just did not make it. Overpriced tourist menu. Servers could care less. Food was tasteless and bland even with a lot of salt and pepper. Guinness was good period.

We had been in O Donavans for a jar a number of times over the week and the general consensus was that this should be the place to take the whole squad. Great atmosphere, good food, superlative live entertainment, this is what most Irish pubs...More

On our tour of the ring of Kerry we stopped in Kenmare for a late lunch. Kenmare seems to be more of a shopping town. While we were shopping we asked the locals where a good place to eat and the place came up as...More

O'Donnabhain's is a great example of a traditional irish bar with exceptional food for the price. They do get very busy so you may have a bit of a wait for a table at times, however if you are willing to sit out on the...More

Description
At O’Donnabhain’s Bar, Restaurant and Guesthouse / Bed and Breakfast we provide you with a memorable experience of food, drink and accommodation. We are located in the hidden gem of Ireland that is Kenmare, Co. Kerry. With an 83% rating on Tripadvisor, we are the perfect place to drop off for a drink, a meal, to listen to some local music, or to stay for the night in one of our modern en suite rooms.

Traditional Irish pub

O’Donnabhain’s Gastro Bar with its open fire, exposed ceilings and wooden finish provides a fabulous contemporary setting with all the character of an old Irish pub. Drop in, meet the locals, make some new friends and soak up some of the great atmosphere and music.

Our restaurant

As well as being a Traditional Pub we are also a Restaurant. We have a sheltered Beer Garden able to provide dining for everyone from couples up to large groups (max. 100 people). Whether it is a pre/post wedding party, family get together, or just time out from the day’s excursions, my wife Vanessa and I will take great pleasure in hosting you. As we say ‘God made food for everyone’.
