Ordered a red ale, received a pale ale with a terrible citrus taste. A friendly complaint was rejected: "Red ale is sometimes more, sometimes less red, I would have received the correct red ale". Even if food was ok.: never again.

While staying at O'Donnabhain's we decided to give the restaurant a go. It was fantastic. I have the beef stew. It brought back memories of the stews my grandmother used to make. It was fantastic. A must while in Kenmare.

We had a memorable meal here. Our group had pizza, cottage pie, and the local mussels, and all were delicious. We really loved the live music. The guy played a great mix, from Irish to Simon and Garfunkel and Billy Joel. Fun to sing along....More

This is a very well established Irish pub right in the centre of Kenmare. It’s often very busy early evening when they are serving food before the live music starts. The menu offers all the usual pub foods such as burger, pastas etc. and also...More

Our first night in Kenmare we wanted to just relax and have a good meal. They have Irish music playing so we stopped in. The food was good, nothing special, well prepared. Add in a couple of pints and we were set. Service was efficient...More

I can say all kinds of great things about O'Donnabhain's--things like how friendly the staff was and how great the live music was and how the prices were quite reasonable and how they offer a pretty varied menu...but all you really need to know is...More

At O’Donnabhain’s Bar, Restaurant and Guesthouse / Bed and Breakfast we provide you with a memorable experience of food, drink and accommodation. We are located in the hidden gem of Ireland that is Kenmare, Co. Kerry. With an 83% rating on Tripadvisor, we are the perfect place to drop off for a drink, a meal, to listen to some local music, or to stay for the night in one of our modern en suite rooms. Traditional Irish pub O’Donnabhain’s Gastro Bar with its open fire, exposed ceilings and wooden finish provides a fabulous contemporary setting with all the character of an old Irish pub. Drop in, meet the locals, make some new friends and soak up some of the great atmosphere and music. Our restaurant As well as being a Traditional Pub we are also a Restaurant. We have a sheltered Beer Garden able to provide dining for everyone from couples up to large groups (max. 100 people). Whether it is a pre/post wedding party, family get together, or just time out from the day’s excursions, my wife Vanessa and I will take great pleasure in hosting you.
