I wanted to try the bacon and cabbage with my pint for the day so we stopped for lunch. I have to say the meal was good and the garlic ciabatta bread was great. The McGargle's red ale recommended by the staff was very good. Price was better than average. Worth a try.

Nice place in the heart of Kenmare with great quality of menu choices and great quality of food. Service was quite good too and the place was bustling and had a good atmosphere. Will happily visit again when in the area.

This is a lively pub with music most nights and serve desent food also . It can be busy so would advise going early if you have a young family looking for a bite to eat.

food was ok, we had a burger (burger quite dry, fries not crispy at all) and the vegetarian canelloni (nice). food arrived max 10 mins after ordering. after finishing the food, we were asked multiple times to move to the bar to finish our drinks (already had 3 drinks each), or move to the bar and order new ones. waiter... We had some wonderful bar/pub food but this just did not make it. Overpriced tourist menu. Servers could care less. Food was tasteless and bland even with a lot of salt and pepper. Guinness was good period.

We had been in O Donavans for a jar a number of times over the week and the general consensus was that this should be the place to take the whole squad. Great atmosphere, good food, superlative live entertainment, this is what most Irish pubs aspire to. None of your twiddley dee Oirish, this is a genuine establishment serving real... More

On our tour of the ring of Kerry we stopped in Kenmare for a late lunch. Kenmare seems to be more of a shopping town. While we were shopping we asked the locals where a good place to eat and the place came up as a recommendation. We were not disappointed. We had very good service. I tried the Cottage... More

O'Donnabhain's is a great example of a traditional irish bar with exceptional food for the price. They do get very busy so you may have a bit of a wait for a table at times, however if you are willing to sit out on the beer garden you'll get served immediately, the only compromise is missing the real irish atmosphere... Loved this restaurant. It was one of our family's favorites over our 2-week holiday. Food was really good. We had Cottage Pie, Fish & Chips, Turkey & Ham dinner ... and pizza! It was all really good and the pints of locally-brewed lagers and ales were quite tasty! Live music and a great corner table made for a very fun... More

We had the Guinness Soup which was decent and the sword fish, which was dry and not a lot of flavor. The balsamic reduction and lemon juice helped save it. Salad was ok and the potatoes were fabulous.
