A group of us ate in this restaurant and everyone of us had fabulous food, well cooked and presented. The staff were all so helpful and efficient and were able to cater for various dietary requirements. I would highly recommend a visit.

Truly was an amazing meal. We checked out many restaurants in Kenmare and I am so glad we settled on this one. My husband had lobster and I had scallops with petso and ratatouille, which was a wonderful blend of flavors. Desserts were outstanding, especially my husband's choclate foundant and ice cream. Lovely setting and attentive staff. Thank you.

We had a group of 37 women on Saturday night for my sister hen/birthday. Mary and the girls couldn't do enough for us. The food was outstanding, can't recommend the restaurant highly enough.

The restaurant opens early, but when we arrived it didn't feel very welcoming as it was chilly in the main dining room. The story of Tom Crean was reflected in the décor and in the red ale made by the Torc Brewery, although they didn't have any on tap only bottles. The main courses were good, fresh fish and well... Arrived on a Wednesday evening and stood in the hall waiting to be seated or see if they had a table. Stood there for a few minutes as the staff walked past and ignored us...we then asked staff can we get a table....told to wait two minutes. We did...we stood for another five mins and eventually left as a member... More

I have been here twice in recent months and highly recommend it. The first time we ate here we were a party of six adults, a child and a toddler. When I popped in to enquire about availability for dinner I wasn’t sure it would be suitable for a toddler/Children however they immediately made space for us all and produced... More

Nice little restaurant, still owned by the descendants of the famous name giving Antarctia explorer. Very friendly, quick staff. Decent wine variety. Main dishes good, but almost all of them over € 20,- And no Guinness from the tap.

Thomas Crean was part of Shackleton's three voyages to Antarctica. Known for his ability to deal with all types of hardships and his leadership qualities, Crean was born near by Kenmare, Ireland and retired there. In his retirement, he started the restaurant that his granddaughter runs today. The eating area was comfortable and the wait staff was helpful and hospitable.... More
