Fantastic Food & Great Service

We were amongst 40 people for a pre wedding dinner for overseas guests. The food was absolutely delicious whilst the service was friendly, attentive and exceptional. Angela was the hostess looking after our table and she was outstanding even to the extent of driving us the short distance to our hotel to avoid getting drenched in the torrential rain. Now... More

We were doing the Ring of Kerry and as the day was ending found ourselves looking for a restaurant that was vegan friendly for my wife and had seafood for me. We stumbled on this restaurant and boy are we glad we did. I would not say there was anything especially creative on the menu, but it was a great... More

This is a wonderful restaurant, with excellent food, with special dietary requirements well catered for. As vegetarians with some gluten free requirements, we were offered choices of starter and main course. Had beautiful pumpkin soup, and a delicious nut roast. Services was friently, and efficient. I will be going here again when next in Kenmare.

Tom's granddaughter runs the restaurant now. The seafood gratin was great. The restaurant tells the story of Tom Crean.

Took my Wife and Son on Halloween night to Tom Crean's as a special treat as I had heard so much about this restaurant in Kenmare. Laura welcomed us and took our coats. My Wife and I had the Sneem Black Pudding to start (Excellent choice) and Daniel had pasta tortellini. Main course was Rib Eye Steak for Daniel and... More

Went without a reservation on a Saturday night. Seated graciously. Had a reservation the following Friday. Smart. Lovely service by Angela both times. Lots of info re town, restaurant and food prep. Ample portions of very nicely done - and creatively done - food. All hot items hot and cool items cool. Loved the beetroot hummus, red cabbage and carrot/parsnip... More

Dined in Tom Creans restaurant on recommendation and also curiosity about its history. Food was fresh well presented and tasted wonderful. Staff were friendly and efficient without being intrusive. Wasn't necessarily enamoured with decor although could understand why it was dedicated to such a brave explorer. Enjoyable experience and would recommend.

We had a 70 birthday to celebrate as well as a wedding and from Dublin I was able to organised this special occasion over the phone. On arrival decorations were in place in a private dinning room. A very big welcome and 7 star service. Food was excellent and the staff were super.. We had a memorable dinner and celebration.... More

This restaurant was at the far end of the high street that we had parked on and we had actually tried to get into a few others without success. We should count ourselves lucky because this was the best food we had eaten in Ireland, Not only that the restaurant is a shrine to Tom Crean, an interesting local character... More
