We have eaten here on several occasions last year and generally had OK meals, but used it as one of the nicer locations in Kenmare. Stopped off last Friday without a reservation, as were driving through and had a very disapointing meal, It is €40 for two courses, which is getting rather expensive for the quality of food served The... We had a wonderful meal here! The friendly hostess was able to take us in without a reservation, just as it was starting to drizzle outside. I will remember my fresh prawn appetizer for a very long time, it was lovely to look at and so delicious!

Scallops, prawns, salmon, lamb, you name it - they nailed it. Kinsale has nothing on Kenmare! And they offered great wines to pair with each course. What a wonderful restaurant and friendly servers! Four of us were upstairs and had arrived late for dinner. We ate everything on the menu, then had a leisurely desert. Not until we wandered downstairs... More

Food was lovely but it did take nearly take an hour between our starter and main course but it was very nice when it arrived. Found the restaurant to be a little bit cramped and tables all on top of one and other. We actually ended up sitting in the table in the middle of the floor. Menu had a... More

Traveled with our family of 6 adults and one baby. Excellent food and service. I had the lamb combination which was two small chops and a lamb based shepherd's pie. It was small but rich and delicious. Fixed price menu with two or three courses. Highly recommend this restaurant.

After the incredible reviews we'd seen I expected more. We were placed in the upstairs loft section, where it was (naturally) hot and stuffy, no evident attempt to circulate air and devoid of the character of the ground floor that is what you see in all the promo photos. Service was OK, nothing standout. Drinks very stingy for the price.... More

We just arrived in Kenmare and walked into town to look for a restaurant. We had heard about Lime Tree and decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The ambience was very nice and the room was pretty. The food was delicious. We had special pan fried crabs in a ginger and butter sauce and seafood cocktail to start.... More
