After a busy day googled who did evening roasts and was not visiting the pub opposite as too many bad experiences in there! Wow service from the young lady was first class and couldn't fault the food! Loved the real fire too, never been in before as always thought it looked too dingy but it's the total opposite! Recommend Sunday... More

Nice restaurant, log fire, pleasant view of garden, tables set with good cutlery and linen napkins, excellent service. However, food quality and quantity were sadly disappointing (given the price). Husband's whitebait starter was adequate, but I ordered the 'special' garlic prawns which were not really special at all. The handful of prawns looked as though they could be the 'value'... More

Dropped into the pub/restaurant on the spur of the moment one evening and sampled their set menu. A bit more limited but excelent value at £9.50, we had 2 courses which were Soup for me and Pate for my wife. Both were excellent and were good sized portions. Main courses were the Pork Stroganoff and what a tasty dish it... More

Food is very good at this traditional village pub. Menus have some interesting additions such as liver and the set menu is of exceptional value. Sandwiches however are a bit expensive. Would go again and take the kids

I love eating here it's always really good. Garden is fantastic place to have a coffee after your meal. Staff really friendly and polite. Fantastic value. Roasts are really good on a Sunday as well. Less choice than some of the big chain country pubs but food is miles better because of this.
