The restaurant is run by very kind boys but totally amateur, they are surely trainees or volunteers. You ask for a meat with fries, fries will arrive 30 minutes later ... You dine with someone, you will have your dessert when your friend will begin...his entry ...
It's a real pity because Rilindja is a very nice place, but you'd prefer to have dinner in another place.More
Try out the different local specialities. Some dishes need one day preorder. Good Albanian wines, the best rather expensive. We liked the food, however the grilled lamb was heavily overdone. Very clean washrooms and showers.
They just want to overcharge everyone
I'm a tour guide I have been so many times in valbonë
The owner Alfred is not friendly at all
And his brother same Skender
They are running the biggest hotel in that village
As I was a tour...guide that day the boss of the company had booked two places for my clients and there were two more people with me we were 5 persons and the boss gave me 60€ to pay to them for two persons and Alfred wanted to charge me 105€ almost double price
But after I said I'm not going to pay you that amount he charged me 90€ 30 more than the deal
But from thier hotel to valbonë national park they charge 5€ for the van
Which is crazy
This place is in bujan not in valbonë
The restaurant and the hotel is 1km far we walked during the darkest in the forest they didn't care to drive us to the hotel
If you really want to to enjoy the valley you can go in smaller houses and you can help them to survive Because they need for costumes
Not this place that charge you a lot more that they deserve
The Normal guesthouse there is 20€ with 3 meals dinner, breakfast and piknik lunch and bed
This charge 30€ and plus 5 to get to the park
So this is not a worthy placeMore
My partner is albanian, hometown of tropoje.
So we visit all the time, I like this restaurant. But I the quality of the food was one day good and the next not so good.
Perhaps different cooks.
Overall, I love valbone the views make it...a lovely dining experience.More
an excelent restaurant of two brothers (Skander & Alfred), serves delicious courses, clean and tasty. we invited 3 kinds of soups (chicken, lentils and tamatoes), beef steak, grilled chickenbreast, trute fish and homemade seasoned sausage.
every lek worths it!
I am a tour leader. I came here twice this year with big groups and some last year.
This year - all my pax got (both times) very sick after visiting this restaurant. Both times they blamed it on "some virus" around but it can't...be - because only the passengers who ate fish got sick and those who ate lamb did not. I believed them the first time but not anymore. I'll avoid them next year when I'll come EIGHT times...
Every time the owner gave us a different price, higher.
This time, when I talked to him (it went over my budget) and he started shouting at me that I should not come again. It was only on 8 euros for 12 people altogether (75 cent per person!!!) - but he behaved like a pig. Very very rude and he called me a liar (that I paid less the times before) and said that I try to get things for free. (Yes - for 75 cent...).
I give him dozens of passengers and in return he overcharges us all the time for this. Talking to locals - they told me that the owner (Alfred) is a very tight guy and greedy when it comes to money.
So: I recommend you to avoid this place altogether. Go to Vila Dini (which is better food and amazing service) or to Tradita or wherever. Just don't go to this place.More
