The views across the Derbyshire dakes to Riber Castle are fantastic. Lunchtime food is plentiful and filling - particularly the filled oatcakes, served with chips and salad. Lunch for three people, excluding drinks, was about £14.50.

Visited for real ales and discovered the most amazing view of the Dales. Not easily accessible but adds to the charm and keeps it hidden.

The beer is excellent; there's always a good choice for the real ale drinker and you can try before you commit to a pint! The lunchtime meals are delicious, with chunky wedge chips & lovely fresh bread for the sandwich options. They also do a mean salad if you want a lighter bite. Portions are generous so it's good value.... More

A very quaint and friendly pub offers a range of real ales, including guest beers. Wednesday nights are usually 'pie nights' all home made and very tasty. A large covered area outside for sitting and enjoying a Summer evening of drinking, and admiring the wonderful view

This little pub is wonderful, It has nice views and does the most amazing bar snacks that are home cooked! The Tempura prawns are so yummy and tasty and the cheese board has the most lovely home made chutney! Definitely a perfect little stop off mid afternoon from a walk or just a trip to the local, this pub is... More
