I had visited Piedaniels in 2010 and was not impressed, but I like to give things a second chance - so a friends 50th was held there and I was excited to return. And was I wrong about this place before. The customer service was amazing, the care and attention to our table fantastuc, and the food was outstanding. The... More

We booked a table for lunch on a very rainy Saturday in December. We had not tried here before but what a lovely place. It was very popular. We ordered a great bottle of dry white and chatted to the owner while we selected what to eat. i had the gravalax and the local beef both were delious. The others... More

This place is a relatively hidden gem in the heart of the Peak. I can't give enough praise for the quality of the food, the service, the ambience and the smiling faces of the staff in this lovely establishment. I count the days to my next visit. Piedaniels is most definitely my favourite place to eat anywhere, ever. Christiana, a... More

We had dinner at Piedaniels to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service and attention was topped only by the quality of the food. Thoroughly recommended for anyone looking for that special occasion or simply great quality food at good prices. Well done everyone for making our night so perfect.

This restaurant is really excellent. It was quite busy on a Wednesday lunchtime in mid-November, but the service was nevertheless efficient and friendly. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, particularly the venison main course, which was pink and tender, and the quantities were ideal. The tables are elegantly laid, and the atmosphere achieves that nice balance between the formal... More

We visited yesterday for lunch to avoid the lunch rush at Chatsworth, good decision. The food and service was excellent, we each had a different main course and sweet, every item was well presented and cooked to perfection added to the fact that the main courses were £12 each and the sweets £4 each, which represented exceptional value for money.... As easily good as any London Restaurant!! This restaurant owned and run by Eric Piedaniel and his wife Christine for 21 years is superb. Margaret, who is their Maitre D', was very welcoming, the surroundings restful and elegant and the food consisted of innovative recipes, beautifully cooked and elegantly presented. Fine Dining at its best and literally half the price... More

We live locally and have driven past Piedaniels countless times but this was our first visit. It was recommended by local friends and we noted the consistently excellent reviews before booking for our anniversary dinner. We were not disappointed. There was plenty of atmosphere as it was a Saturday evening and all the tables were full. That said it did... More
