Lots of lovely food and gifts but the prices are way too dear. Already had some Christmas gifts on display. much too early to buy gifts of food.

Visited with my wife and two friends as we all agreed, when in Bakewell try the local Bakewell tart. The tart itself was hugely disappointing as it had no taste whatsoever and had I been blindfolded I would not had been able to identify the...More

Bought one after the awful experience with The Original Bakewell Shop. This was even worse as it tasted like it had coconut in it, tough icing as well as tasting stale!! Avoid

Stopped in for some baked goods for holiday picnic. Stilton and pork pie pretty good, no complaints there. Various kinds of Bakewell tarts etc all too oily. Don’t know if it’s too much margarine or what but didn’t enjoy.

The 4 of us Sat down and ordered traditional bakewell puddings with ice cream. First time we’ve ever tried them they are really scrumptious. Lovely staff and very friendly. They sell other bakery items as well as traditional bakewell pudding, Bakewell tart.

Authentic bakery with excellent range of pies and pastries, including of course local speciality: the Bakewell tart (almond based open tart on shortcrust pastry). I don’t really like savoury pies but these were a revelation. They were fantastic: brilliant pastry and succulent filling. Great range...More

Nice traditional bakers on the high street, gets busy as Bakewell is a tourist area. Sells both traditional bakewell tart and cherry bakewells as well as a myriad of other pastries. NOt cheap but worth a try
