Great little Cafe. There were six of us and a dog and we were greeted by a friendly lady who seated us at two tables and immediately brought the dog a bowl of water and pointed out the basket containing blankets if the dog wanted to lie on one. We had the best bacon barmcakes ever at a very reasonable price. Another member of our group had the soup which they said was delicious and again very good value for money. Definitely worth a visit. If we were staying in the area again we would be calling in again.

Really welcoming little cafe ! Staff offered to put my walking stick out of the way so it wouldn't fall over/get in the way of other guests and reminded me at the end so I wouldn't forget it. We both had the Bakewell puddings and custard as an afternoon treat - absolutely delicious and well presented with a good portion of custard in a mini milk urn ! Only downside is no toilets in the cafe !

Visited this quaint cafe in Bakewell today with my parents, so glad we decided to stop here. The staff were extremely friendly and inviting, the service was great and the food delicious. Considering the cost of living crisis and how many places have put up prices considerably, we all thought this was extremely well priced and excellent value for money.
The staff were very accommodating when my father changed his order after seeing someone else’s food and decided he’d rather have the same as them 🤣. Good sized portions, that certainly filled you up. It is also a dog friendly cafe (providing paws stay on the floor 😀)
Will definitely visit again and would highly recommend if you are in the area.

We ordered two hot chocolates, a gluten free blackcurrant crumble slice and a scone. We were told that the scone was fresh.
The hot chocolate unfortunately wasn't very hot but was tasty enough.
The slice was barely 3cm square but didn't actually taste too bad. I appreciate that gf food can be more expensive but really I would have expected something more substantial.
Unfortunately the scone wasn't fresh, quite possibly baked at least a day before, certainly not on the day we visited.
Overall quite disappointing.

Such a lovely lunch with my husband and 3 year old little boy. Without even needing to ask we were offered a ‘picky lunch’ of anything of my sons choice, from cheese, ham, cucumber, tomatoes, bread and butter. All perfect for most 3 year olds! We also ordered a brownie for my son for after his lunch and this was thoughtfully kept behind the counter until he had finished his lunch. Amazing and friendly service and nothing was too much effort. Thank you!

Called in for lunch en-masse as a family unit as we'd seen it was dog friendly online (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby, 1 dog!) - we were made really welcome and they went out of their way to help us (including serving our toddler their food first and quickly, a masterstroke for keeping them happy!)
Food and drinks were lovely and the service was great. One happy family!

This was the first time I'd visited the Honey Bun Cafe and wasn't disappointed. I went with my 3yr old grandaughter and my friend. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was reasonably priced and delicious, it's definitely worth a visit.

A lovely little cafe, very small and friendly atmosphere. The staff were lovely. We had late lunch of bacon cobs and sausage cobs and a Wallace and gromit sandwich and some Bakewell slice with coffees/camomile tea. All were delicious. The cobs were very generously filled and extremely reasonably priced. Would recommend.

We stumbled upon this place whilst looking for somewhere for lunch, we couldn’t have found a better place!
The owner was very friendly and was helpful in adapting the menu slightly to suit the needs of our young children (smaller portion of soup & extra pot of beans with the toast) the food came quickly and was delicious. Reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend!

We stumbled across this cafe whilst having a walk around Bakewell. For anyone that has a dog, you will appreciate how difficult it can be to find a good place to have a bite to eat with your four legged friend by your side!
The ladies that offer table ordering and service were lovely, very welcoming. The menu had just been changed to a Christmas themed one. There was a great selection of food, cakes and drinks. We went for a pot of tea for one, a latte, a carrot cake traybake and a warm cheese scone served with butter, Wensleydale cheese and caramelised onion chutney. Our drinks and food certainly didn’t disappoint! I’ve never tasted such a fresh tasty cheese scone and cannot wait to return to try some of the other festive delights on the menu.

When visiting Bakewell last week on a trip to the Peak District, we stumbled across The Honey Bun Cafe and so glad we did!
Small but perfectly formed with the most welcoming and friendly staff and food to die for at a very reasonable price!
If you’re after fantastic food in a welcoming and friendly environment, then you have got to go here!
We always go to Bakewell when we visit the Peak District and we will now be adding the Honey Bun Cafe as a must on our next visit.

Whilst visiting Bakewell for the day we looked for somewhere to grab a bit of lunch and stumbled across this place.
We found a table and were quickly greeted by staff.
It is a quaint / small place so did fill up quickly and think it helped being a dog friendly establishment.
Food was great (husband highly recommends the BBQ Chicken Melt (best he's ever tasted!)) and on paying I heard the staff ask my daughter if she had enjoyed her muffin (a small thing but showed the personal touch).
There are no toilets on the premises and there is a clear sign indicating this but the toilets aren't too far away anyway.
Would highly recommend for anyone to nip in here if in Bakewell.

Fantastic little cafe with friendly, helpful staff and great little menu. Dog friendly so perfect for us and our pooch. Food was fresh and delicious with a good choice of mains/snacks and sweet options. Welcomed at door, waited a moment for a table while cleared and wiped. Quick service and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

What a fantastic cafe. Very friendly knowledgable & attentive staff. Pumpkin spiced latte with a cheese scone for me and hot chocolate with marshmallows and Bakewell pudding with custard for Mr P. Loved it!!!

A wonderful cafe, with welcoming and thoughtful staff. Im gluten free and there was a lovely choice i was made to feel well catered for they were great at understanding my needs. Food was delicious, what made it even more special was being able to have our dog with us. Lovely place reasonably priced and a great experience all round. Thank you amazing staff. Xx
