We met a friend for afternoon tea there in 2009. My very tall husband had to stoop to get in the door as the tea room is a VERY OLD post and beam Tudor building. The tea was superb and the wee sandwiches and other wee cakes and snacks were just what we needed. We sat for two hours and... More

Long ago, friends brought me to Bradford On Avon on a visit to the famed Bridge Tea Rooms. I fell in love with the town and the Bridge Tea Rooms and ended up living in Bradford for nine captivating years. In that time, there was hardly a week without breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea at The Bridge and there was... More

After a chilly walk by the rive, my husband and I popped in for a warm drink and slice of cake. I had a lovely hot chocolate with whipped cream with a slice of Victoria Sandwich and my husband had camomile tea with pear and frangipane tart. Both pieces were generous. The service was very good. It's always nice spending... More

Already right at the entrance you know it is special : You have to pull your head in and also watch your step down into this treasure trove. It transports you into another world, where warm fires are burning, the atmosphaere is like Upstairs - Downstairs with girls in old fashioned dress and bonnets, the furniture are small and cosy,... We stopped off here from a 3 hour journey to enjoy a breakfast in lovely surroundings. Our waitress was very friendly and enjoyed chatting away to us. We were the only customers initially but it soon started to fill up. A very enjoyable breakfast in historic surroundings.

A brilliantly characterful building in a fantastic location. Watch your head on the way in unless you're conveniently short like me. We were shown upstairs and sat cosily near the fire with great views outside. Had lovely 'bridge cream tea's - we chose rooibos and darjeeling teas, and scones came with a generous helping of cream and two jams. The... More

Duck on your way in or grouse! The door is small and steps take you down into the ground floor of this historic tea shop. Upstairs is equally as inviting with a fire place on each floor. The food is simple, clean and beautifully prepared - fresh salads and home made coleslaws accompany home made classics. All the cakes and... More

What a true delight this tea room is. The quality of the food and service is equal to any posh hotel serving afternoon tea but the quaint tea room has a charm all it's own. The staff are delightfully friendly and helpful in making your afternoon tea a treat you will really enjoy. The food was superb and fresh, beautifully... More
