We have just had a lovely relaxing lunch at the Throckmorton. The bar staff & waiting staff are very pleasant and attentive. Can't recommend this lovely pub enough. Very light and spacious with a beautiful decking area at the back. No problems parking as a huge car park.

We enjoyed a meal here last Saturday evening. It was a very hot and humid night so we were happy to be seated inside near the door to enjoy the fresh air. We were on a Groupon weekend stay deal so had a credit of £30 towards our meal.....we both opted for cheesy garlic bread to start, this was lovely... More

Large and pleasant interior with a good amount of space for drinkers and diners alike. Good service, plentiful portions and great quality food. The salads are enormous! Four stars and not five though - only because we felt the drinks slightly expensive, so didn't quite meet our 'value for money' criteria. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend to anyone... My wife and I have just had two days here eating both at breakfast and evening meals. We had no issues what so ever with the food. Saturday night I had the haddock and chips and j have to say it was more like a whale than a fish. Sunday I had the ribeye and again the flavours were lovely.... More

This is a very poorly run restaurant. Service is mostly provided by youngsters which is not a bad thing in itself, its just that with no supervision they were not motivated and all looked as if they would rather be somewhere else. You had to ask several times for things like drinks or extra gravy. The delivery of our food... More

We used to eat here regularly when we lived local and always had a good meal but we hadn't been since moving out of the area. We called in for dinner on the way back from a day trip as we were passing, we arrived early so didn't have to book, it was quiet so service was quick which suited... More

We were staying overnight, and decided to have dinner, rather than driving elsewhere so my partner could have a drink. We hadn't booked a table, but the gentleman in charge, knew immediately what was available and asked a lovely waitress to show us to a table. It was in the main dining room on a raised section, it was quite... More

We Was passing by and come across this rather nice establishment by accident, luckily it turned out they serve food all day, it wasn't busy when we called in as it was around 3.30 on a Tuesday afternoon, we was made to feel very welcome indeed, we ordered a couple of drinks at the bar which was reasonably priced, &... We decided to give this a try after reading the reviews, got to say we were a little disappointed. We went for Sunday lunch today, arrived at 12 so were the first in, we decided to eat on the terrace as weather was quite nice when we arrived. Everything was going well food and drinks on table within ten minutes... More
