Have been here several times and the service is always very good, nice friendly staff. It can be a bit noisy as the sound just bounces off the walls, could do with looking at that. Food was very good apart from my risotto which arrived Luke warm and when returned piping hot they had added to much stock before nuking... More

Brilliant food and service. Recommend the braised beef with root vegetables, was absolutely gorgeous falling apart, melt in the mouth. The boy that served us, Ash, was very polite and well mannered. Nothing was too much trouble, even when the restaurant got busy.

Visited twice early on winter weekends just as restaurant opening . Great service and food and drink of high quality . Worthy of return visits and some interesting spaces found in pub bars worth a pre meal drink.

Considering what it was, the new owners have really made this place look special. It's not in the same league as the Queens Head in terms of location but the design and menu are similar. We had the shared starter and all 4 of us had the slow cooked beef main which was very very good! We ordered more horseradish... More

This is a restaurant pub we visit fairly regularly. It is part of the Lovely Pub group who have refurbished a number of pubs in the area. It is smart, spotlessly clean with good food and great service. (Having visited several pubs in the group I can say that this is a standard they maintain across all of them. They... More

Went in a party of 9. Had a great table and had an excellent meal. Although it was very Christmassy with crackers and hats and the like it was refreshing to have the usual menu not Christmas specials. A very convivial atmosphere. It was hard to leave at 5pm after a great lunch.

Second visit here. First time we sat in the old part of the pub which was delightful. This time we were in the area at the rear. First the good... The food is very nice, wine fine, service very good. The rear dining area is bright, cheerful with large widows overlooking the garden. Then the bad...it was only half full... More

Had a lovely meal of ribs, chips, corn on the cob and coleslaw, whilst my husband had satay chicken and both were really tasty and were large portions. Good value and service.

First of all, despite it being a very busy night, the service was good. I had been in the room at the rear and found it particularly noisy, and when we were shown our table, it was close to a party of lads, having a good time, so I asked to be moved and the waitress kindly found us another...
