Although it was quite packed we were offered a seat immediately. After ordering, our meal arrived without having to wait long. The service (from such a young pleasant waiter) was first class. We will definitely call in again for a meal when we're back in the area.

We visited Romas and sadly the meal was not very good. Food was just average and no more, disappointed. On a more positive note the male waiters were really very good, very attentive, unfortunately the food was a let down.

We called in without booking and were seated straight away.It has a nice area at the rear with plenty of room. The waitress was friendly and not overpowering. We picked two meals from the early bird menu with starters for a fixed price. The starters were great.I had stuffed mushrooms and main was porkbelly with apricot stuffing and pepper sauce with... A friend called unexpectedly Monday around 6pm and we decided to go out for tea as a treat. We went to Roma's. The staff greeted us and were friendly and attentive. I had the toast beef and it was excellent. My pal had the lamb and he said is was very tender and tasty. We both decided to have desert.... More

Been here about 5 times on a Sunday, as they have the Sunday Treat, which is 4 courses for £14.95 from 12.30pm to 7.30pm. They have a good varied selection for all 3 courses. The 4th course is tea or coffee. My daughter is a vegetarian, but she always finds things she likes when she's here. Their sticky toffee pudding... More

I planned to have a nice lunch out with my two daughters and boy was I disappointed. All three dishes that we were served were questionable - sorry!! I had the roast of the day which came with a Yorkshire pudding which was rubbery... It was quickly changed but it didn't really improve the overall taste of the roast which... More

Five of us visited Romas when in Newtownards recently, it was a Thursday so we were told the restaurant upstairs was doing a steak night, I had the T-bone, because why not, which was huge, a Ribeye and two fillets were also ordered, as well as a fish dish, all the food came out at the same time and were... Friends reunion had organised a meal here. The booking was for 7pm. The bistro didn't seem to be that busy but our food order took 30 to arrive. I had ordered ribeye and jokingly asked the waiter had they caught the cow yet causing the delay. The waiter said the chef was under pressure. But, when the meals came they... More

This was our second time at Romas whilst visiting friends in Newtownards. It is a great place. We were there on steak night which was very popular. The food and the staff are lovely and whoever mixed our cocktails knew what they were doing. We hope to be back again on our next trip to Northern Ireland.
