Great place for coffee with a great selection of tray-bakes, cakes, desserts and scones (the warm cinnamon scone is a favourite). Friendly service and reasonable prices. If you want something more, the menu has a good choice of meals, sandwiches, panini's, but we tend to call in for just coffee and scones or cakes!

Excellent menu with plenty of choice. Service good. The queues can be long for lunch so go early. Will be back.

have eaten here before and it has always been fairly good. BUT went last week and it was awful. The steak pie clearly had been reheated..i suspect more than once1 The edges were burned black and the pastry was soggy...in fact the whole thing was inedible. The lasagne was just acceptable.....but dry as it was reheated too. No one came... More

My favorite spot for Saturday morning breakfast. The views over Newtownards and Scrabo will lift your spirits ... even on those days when the sun just sends beams through the clouds to pick out the treasures of Co Down. Food is real quality and that tends to set the price. The farm shop is mostly local produce and the butchery... More

Seriously don't bother. I got two teas an two frys and a warm bottle of fruice juice for 17pounds. The frys are terribly small and I felt like I was eating in roselawn cemetery waiting room. If you don't have a blue rinse in your hair you are out of place. There is no view and the seating is classroom... More

Was looking forward to some lemon meringue pie and tea. They have changed the recipe because not as nice as it used to be!. Bought potatoes from the farm shop thinking I was getting the best quality but was very disappointed due to the amount of black bits I had to peel out. Local fruit shop from now on for... More

No 1 restaurant in co down nestled up in the hesitantly hills, this truly is the jewel in the crown , I've visited this place so many times and never once have I walked straight in and got a seat, always have to wait on a seat as you can't reserve, but surely that says it all, very country style...
