Summer dining for two and tried Steak Night with wine... Was ok but nowhere near the high quality of food and service that was once stood within this establishment. Table on arrival was let's say 'unclean' and had to be 'changed' before tatty menus were brought to the table. Staff member explained 'steak offer' well and tried to upsell starters... More

Fantastic night of good food, atmosphere is very good. We all had fish done different ways all were delicious. Puddings were eton mess and sticky toffee pudding which were amazing.

Just stopped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised, the food was very good and the service was excellent. Great view over the harbour and a really nice place to unwind and have a chat. We will be back for sure.

A pleasant evening not rushed & the waitress was very good. The food was pretty good as well. The restaurant could do with a bit of a makeover, especially outside on the decking.

We wanted a table for two on a Sunday and called in on spec -were very busy so couldn't take us. We managed to get an evening booking and we're very pleased we did. The service was good and the meal very well cooked and enjoyable. There was an excellent range of meals on offer. I had slow cooked beef... More

Was eating here with friends on Saturday night. We had a booking for 7 o`clock, and just as well we had booked because the restaurant down stairs was absolutely packed. 2 of us choose the monk fish in a curry sauce with prawns and noodles. A third friend ordered the breast of chicken and the fourth went for a 12... More

Went for lunch this week. Shown to table with dirty place mats, crusty food stuck to the sear upholstery and a sticky table. The toilets didn't fair any better. If you can look past that the food wasn't bad. Had a sin free chicken .. The four baby new potatoes made sure there wasn't too many calories for sure. Friend... More

Visited the Windrose twice in one week. Once for lunch and once for dinner. On both occasions the food was lovely. On both occasions it took around 30 mins for the food to arrive. The restaurant and the toilets need a refurb as it hasn't been updated in many years. The evening ambient music was loud and too modern for... More

Outstanding return to the Windrose staff very helpful and accommodating since we didn't book a table we have visited twice now on a Sunday and the food was outstanding. We had two courses for £16 this was exceedingly good value for the quality of the food. We will be back and highly recommend this for the views and the quality... More
