I had received some vouchers for the Windrose as a birthday present and we decided to use them on a meal for two. My wife played safe with fish and chips and I stuck to my usual sirloin steak. I must say that it was probably the worst steak that I've ever had in my life. It was very fatty... More

first visit to this restaurant, picked a beautiful day, eat outdoor overlooking the marina felt like I was somewhere much more exotic than Northern ireland. Staff were really friendly and service was good. I really fancied the apple and prawn cocktail as a starter. When it arrived there were loads of prawns and I thought the apple must be buried... I'm sure the food is fine but since I have my face tattooed I didn't get the chance to try it , it seems like discrimination runs to how you look, they don't allow people with visible tattoos in to the place , or at least they didn't when I tried to go in. To say I was embarrassed is... More

We visited here this week, stopped in for few drinks. We were intending to eat but staff unfriendly. My husband asked where the toilets were and the young girls reply was....there is a arrow over there, he asked again and her reply was pointed to arrow and walked off. We were going to eat but put us off. There is... More

When we arrived we were greeted & taken to our table, we had an aperitif whilst we checked out the menu.We chose the starters & it was excellent, my husband had chowder & his comment was it was one of the best that he'd tried, I had salt & pepper squid & it was really good, not at all chewy.... Went for dinner on the 12th July. I made the booking last minute and have to say I am glad I did. Four people in total, we Myself all had main meals which were of a great standard. All clean plates. Best steak I have had anywhere in a long time. Staff were pleasant and attentive. We shall return.

Dined with a pal on a day off. Fairly busy on a weekday, which is great to see, but did not slow service down at all. Friendly staff, quick drinks service and a Sea Food chowder that is up there with the best I have ever had. The owner even called at our table to check up, which is always... More
