Dropped in twice recently early evening without booking as we were tired after busy days. We were first in at 6 pm but by 6 .45pm this super atmospheric pub diner was almost full, and this was mid week. It's always advisable to book so...More

We visited midweek unannounced. Very good food. Not the cheapest but if it's excellent you don't mind paying. I had the beef and ale pie, my partner had the fish cake salad. Both cooked to perfection and a plenty. An excellent pub for home cooked...More

Food is nice but the atmosphere was horrendous! The owner (Mefis) is horrid! She doesn't care at all about her staff or customers. Staff were nice and food was nice. Shame about the manager!

A traditional Welsh country pub - from original oak beams, cosy rooms & roaring fire to homemade locally sourced ingredients & Welsh speaking staff. A True taste of Wales!David & Mavis have owned The Butchers for 30 years and have built up a good reputation for serving quality homemade food at a reasonable price. The old Stable block will be open to overnight guests in August 2012
