Excellent meal!! Everything is freshly made so don't worry if you have to wait a little while for your meal because it's absolutely worth the wait! We are on a canal boat holiday for a week so stopped off at Skipton twice and ate in the Narrow boat both times! Will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I found this fantastic pub tucked away from the main street in Skipton last Sunday lunchtime on our way back from a visit further North, and what a great place it is too. Friendly, hugely accommodating staff and quality food to match. I agree with other reviewers that is more your traditional pub, but has a certain... More

A spur of the moment choice for an early Sunday evening meal after we found the place we hoped to visit was fully booked. I'm glad it was - the Narrow Boat was excellent. The place feels like a proper pub not one of those 'gastro' types though it has a bit of a modern vibe about it with more... More

Had lunch at The Narrow Boat today - it was fab! The staff were so friendly and polite. There was a specials board with some delicious sounding dishes on but we selected from the main menu. I had corned beef hash with a poached egg which was very tasty and 'more-ish' and my partner had beer battered fish and chips... More

Went here for evening meal, really enjoyed it. The burger and chips were very tasty. Burger was perfectly done and had great flavour to it (Mary Jane Ale). Steak & Ale pie was also very good. Great staff and service. Good choice of beers, nice place.

We wandered in to this pub earlier as my wife felt the need to sit down (she gave birth 4 days ago) and I noticed that they had a decent real ale selection. It was very disappointing to be told that we would not be allowed in unless my 4 day old baby "had something to eat due to licensing... More
