A walk through the shabby chic bars leads you to the comfortable restaurant. Excellent pub food. Good service, and a reasonable choice of wine.

This is a pub that does food and drink. Both are good but the service need looking at . We had half finished our drinks on a Sunday at 11.10 when a member of staff came over and rudely told us they were closing and took our half full glasses away but standing at the bar were a number of... More

We went to the Woolly Sheep on a recommendation from the lovely staff at the Unicorn just around the corner. The food was great (as was the wine) and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the rabbit, succulent and very tasty. But between 6 of us we didn't have a bad meal, these ranged from burgers to scallops, and... More

Been to this pub several times while on holiday in Yorkshire. It's very busy but worth staying for a drink or a meal. There are also rooms available but we haven't stayed there. Location is right in the centre of Skipton.

Excellent food, beer and service. That's all I need to say but apparently has to be at least 100 characters. So .........

this pub suffers from not having an older more experienced landlord/tenant/manager the pub is great the beer is good but could be better but the staff are just hanging around not paying attention to customers and all in the 20's they need managing

Travelling as two adults and a child needing a meal after a day on the road. Came across the Woolly Sheep Inn in the heart of Skipton.Seemed very popular, most of the tables were reserved though we got in early. Good service, food within 20 mins. Child portion was probably as big if not bigger than one of our main... More

We turned up without a booking but I'd recommend calling ahead because they are busy. We got a great table with plenty of room for the high chair. The young waitresses were all friendly and helpful. I ordered off the special board and had the most beautiful melt in the mouth steak mmmmm. I orders sausage and mash for my... More

A friend and I went for Sunday lunch at the Woolly Sheep, having pre-booked a table. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. Drinks were quickly served and our order for two roast beef dinners 'with all the trimmings' taken promptly. It was , quite simply, delicious. A huge fluffy Yorkshire pudding on top of some... More
