One of my favourite pubs! Elegant but cosy. The food is carefully thought out with plenty of flavour and no pretension. The soups are delicious, amazing bar nibbles such as pork cracking with apple sauce and breaded prawns. The sweetbreads were amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and super efficient. Always a good range of ales and gin. Especially love... More

Have been a few times for sunday lunch and a couple of other occasions for dinner during the week. Each visit has been excellent, a warm welcome and excellent food. Highly recommended which will mean it's harder for me to get a table as it becomes more popular.

We came for dinner on a Wednesday evening in May, from the start the waiters were very attentive. I had the duck and my partner had the pork belly, both were of excellent quality and a fair price. There was only a short wait which was unexpected due to the lovely food! Will be returning again for the beer festival... More

We attended Broughton Ball this weekend at The Crown. The food and service was amazing, even when catering for nearly 160 people! The minted shepherds pie was divine! Well done, you all worked so hard and deserve a big pat on the back.

Ive eaten here several times, the food and service has always been good, specially the pork belly, which is cooked perfect. however the monday to saturday menu is better than the sunday lunch menu. Sunday lunch is poor, you only get a little bit of veg, which doesnt include everyones favorite parsnips, cauliflower cheese etc, no stuffing, no pigs in... More

Dear CDR90, Thank you for taking the time to review The Crown Inn. I am really pleased you enjoy dining with us here at The Crown Monday to Saturday. On a Sunday which is a very busy day for us you are quite correct as we only serve stuffing or pigs in blankets if chicken/turkey is the roast option not... More

Lovely pub, welcoming hosts. Great atmosphere and beautiful garden. Had to wait quite a while for our order but that may have been because there were two huge tables ahead of us, definitely recommend.

Great staff led by Mark, even better food . Nothing beats their Sunday roast, ask for a bit of both. Unbeatable. The general lunchtime and evening weekly menu is fantastic offering variety for all, mostly featuring seasonal products.

Thank Chris N
