Our walking group of eleven dropped by at lunchtime today taking a chance that there’d be space for us even though we hadn’t booked. We used to frequent the Green Man regularly for many years but hadn’t been in the area for quite a while...More

What a find, the Greenman is in a beautiful setting overlooking the green, steeped in history. The interior of the pub was welcoming, very bright but maintaining that cosy feel. The menu was exciting, spoilt for choice, all beautifully cooked. The service was great. Can’t...More

Well, walking in December can be a bit dreary, but a lunch at The Green Man put us back in a good mood. Dog friendly, big portions of tasty food, good selection of beers on the hand pump. Recommended

Had a really good evening at The Green Man. Pan Fried scallops were delicious with black pudding - one of my fave combos. I had the venison which was cooked to perfection and my husband had the confit duck leg which was also fantastic (...More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal I intended to only have 2 courses but couldn't resist rhubarb and Berry crumble, so glad I didn't it was super fresh and deliciously crunchy. Staff were friendly and efficient, nicely bustling pub. Good job all round.
